How exactly do Ice Gaunt, Trinity, and Lich Bane work on Kayle? Her E in particular.

I've been getting tons of conflicting on this subject, I think her kit was changed or something sometime back so that the info may have been correct at the time?

Anyways I see Lich Bane suggested on Kayle builds but I don't see how I'll proc it that much if it doesn't get refreshed by her E or anything. Additionally I was wondering how the Iceborn Gauntlet works. Does it also only apply the affect after a spellcast or does her E proc it continously?

If they only apply after a spellcast and not during Righteous Fury I don't see why I would want any of these over Rylai's.

After Kayle activates E, she gets a single Sheen proc from activating that skill. She also only applies the Sheen proc via the target she was aiming at with her auto-attack, no fun times with applying an AoE Sheen to everything.

The secondary damage multipliers for AP that mimic mostly what Crit and Armor Pen do for AD are placed in 4 items: item 3100 item 3089 item 3135 item 3285

Lich Bane adding an extra ability to your QWER rotation is nothing to sneeze at, it's almost powerful enough to make any champion an AP champion. Kayle's cooldowns and mana costs are also low enough she doesn't need every single auto doing things that will proc Sheen to make Sheen items useful on her.

Also, with Kayle's late-game potential and guaranteed invulnerability, you probably want to go the crazy AP damages route on her rather than an AP off-tank kind of deal.
