Can we please give Garen the Blitzcrank treatment?

Why should you be able to outrun someone who uses a movement speed boost when you don't use one yourself? Blitz had too much CC and disruption for his movement speed boost to be the way it was, where as Garen has a silence and damage only.

Garen already got nerfed rather harshly when DFG was removed :P

But it would be nice if his speed boost decayed a bit over the duration so long as the starting movement speed boost was increased.

In a time where there is a lot of mobility and CC, if you're having trouble with Garen then you need to re-examine your tactics.

For example, the only ways you would have to burn Flash to get out of a Q+E from Garen;

1. He's got boots and you don't (which means he's either got gold on you or bought them before anything else)
2. He's got MS Runes and you don't (which means he's giving up something else for that extra speed
3. You picked a cheesy top like Lulu ( Her 325 vs Garen's 345 MS) (which means you're not using your cheesy champ right to mess with Garen)

In any case, Garen has some pretty clear strengths and weaknesses. If you have -any- kind of ranged harass at your disposal, Garen's gonna have a bad day. Pre-6, it should not be hard to deal with him unless he just completely counters you. And really, there aren't a whole lot of champs Garen can just completely shutdown.

So I'm gonna chalk this up as a failing on your part.

Garen just needs a damage nerf to his Q. He does ridiculous damage with it considering it has a silence and him being a super tank.

No. Blitzcrank has a ranged attack. Garen doesn't have any range at all.
