New Normals Matchmaking Sucks Balls...Hard

Before you start calling me stuff, I'd want to invite you to do an experiment. Look at your normals matchmaking history for the past 2 months or so... notice something?

If you look closely, you will see most of the time you will win about 2 or so games and then lose 2 or so. If you EVER go on a losing streak beyond 2 games, you will be on a winning streak immediately afterward... always.

Seriously, try looking at your normals match history.

Riot does this because they work on the assumption that if you lose too often, you will grow disinterested in the game and quit. Problem is, the model they have implemented sucks balls, even if a 50% win rate looks "fair" on paper. Wanna know why? Well, because League is a 5v5 game, the way Riot ensures "fair matches" to ensure "everyone is having fun" is by rotating noobs and/or premades on the winning and losing teams, depending on which one you are supposed to be in. Problem with this shit is when you are winning it is a ROFLstomp and you can't challenge yourself; when you are losing it is so hard you have either buttcheek checking for ice levels on both polar caps.

And for the inevitable trolls that are gonna type "its just normies scrub, don't complain and just have fun instead of tryharding". No, I don't care about winning or losing, I care about having fun, and it is increasingly difficult to have fun when all games are landslides. And no I don't want to take my teemo and Swain to ranked and be raged at by my entire team, thank you for asking

Couldn't agree more. I literally just had a game where I was paired against a 5 man laning against a diamond 5 singed who had his shaco jungler he was communicating with camp me.

Thanks riot so much fun for someone like me queuing alone. I really had a fair chance that game!

Oh and I especially loved the part where our jungler flamed me and said to just ward better (which I was) against a shaco! Especially when the singed can easily tank tower and dive me with W and fling!

Yeah some games you just can't win. The problem is when as you say you are against premades that know what they are doing and are legitimately at a disadvanatge. Also when a fellow laner is super low elo against a plat or such and goes 0/12 ... that is not his fault, it is matchmaking's

I don't agree with you entirely - however, I do believe that you have hit on something.

I would sometimes manage to get on a winning streak of about 6-7 games - but I did notice that as I did this, the challenge level of the opponents did increase and almost simultaneously the teammates I was with tended to become a bit more difficult to play with (e.g., immaturity, trolls, afks, less ability, etc.). And inevitably, at some point, I'd hit a premade at the tail-end of the winning streak who would make it impossible for me (or the other decent player on the team who had some ability) to carry.

Solutions for this? Well, I found that you could do the same thing that you do in rankeds to avoid problems. Use your daily dodge and jump onto another account. As soon as I would do this, the anti-success momentum in norms would drop and reset. Alternatively, you could group up with a bunch of players that are weaker than you (but don't mind playing with) and use the fact that the algorithm is standardized to a difficulty level of about Bronze I / Silver 5, and you can ride out the negative momentum until it resets.

I do have a lot of RL Friends that are bronze and silver and some times play with them. The problem isn't winning or losing, it is that because I am high elo, unless I premade with high elo friends I always win or lose by a landslide, which IMO isn't fun

Exactly. 50% win ratio matchmaking system, that explain why you never (basically) find a balanced or fair match.

They never will admit it's rigged, since people just play this game no matter what.
