Riot wants Lux back on mid lane?

I know everyone hates lux and probably don't care about her, but i find these changes strange...

They KILL her shield, but they buff her ult scaling.

Right now her shield is borderline useless unless you max it first/second It gives 50(+30% AP) on level 1 which is absolutely nothing on a champ playing a role who doesn't have a lot of AP to begin with And it is usually maxed last... meaning you don't level it up until level 14. So up to level 14 where champs usually have like 1.5-3k health at this point, her W brings to the table more or less 150 shield(if you hit both times). which is... nothing..

I guess riot wants her out of bot lane and back to mid? is this what it is?

if they wanted that, they would give support champs a reason to be ran. It feels like at this point, why run heal when you can just our pressure/kill your opponent faster.

one of the things that made lux great on bot lane was the fact she could mitigate a lot of damage with her w... now all she has is some burst. she is squisher than ever.

going in to auto attack and proc the passive is not even worth it when your shield can't even soak one attack from the enemy

but you dont even max shield first. I hardly cared about her shield in the first place. She was an oppressive lane bully and thats why she is in bot lane. Plus, sona wasn't even nerfed this patch. Healers just havn't been good for a long while.

I know you don't max W first on her. Her W gimmick was that it was strong because it was a skillshot.... but what ever...

I've got a feeling healers are gonna kick in soon... or other champs like brand or zyra who just simply out damage lux.

Lux was better than both zyra and brand because she had amazing peel from the w and high damage. but they both still do much more damage than her.

Her shield is still a skill shot do i dont see where you're going. It just doesnt offer a shield on return. It had minor dmg mitigation anyways. She mostly abused aftershock/boneplating.

lux is better the brand because he got nerfed, so did zyra. Brand was far more oppressive and zyra had far more zone power. Healers are still going to be 2nd fiddle because pyke, lux, karma, morg, fiddle exist. This just isnt a healing meta.

My point is, the strong shield was warranted by it being a skillshot. It was way too strong of a shield for it being a pointclick shield... that's what i mean.

But now the shield is both really weak... and a skillshot.

Lux currentlywas best support because of the interaction with her shield/aftershock combo. The removal of the double stacking upon return of the shield definitely makes sense.

The ultimate change makes less sense to me personally but the reset mechanic was honestly never really that impactful on Lux. Personally I still think her Q CD changes should be reverted to scale down per level but I'll take the change they did since it does really slow down Lux support (albeit not kill her) while not changing Lux mid too much.

I think they mitigated the reset on her ult by changing the base CD. shes still going to fire it off every like 25/30 seconds. Lets be real, though, aftershock is what needs to be addressed.

Why would you address a keystone when the champion is the problem? This is further backed up by the fact that its actual intended users aren't even borderline busted.

Well, i usually maxed it last... and lots of guides and pros do it too... that's besides the point tho. It was pretty strong on level 1... that's the point.

but that was the gimmick of her shield - it was strong because it was a skillshot.... now that's gone.

I agree its a stupid change. Kill lux mid, enforce lux support. Shes much more fun as a support, and the change to make the shield stack actually made it usable and not feel like ass using it.

I Agree. She's a fun support.

If you ask me what's wrong with her... i'd say her Q cooldown was way too short, but that's me. I honestly feel like her w is pretty much useless and plain and simple it is not worth playing this champ anymore when champs like pyke are available.(i main both)

I never saw a single lux, in my entire life use aftershock. All i hear was people talking about how broken it is...

all it gives was about 50~ resistances for like what... 2 seconds? Beats me.

It's for when champs jump on her. Aftershock gives her some beef and then does damage to them since they are in range. Of course it's useless if they aren't in range.

And it's pretty broken, I've seen it and used it as well.

If they jumped on you, youre either flashing or youre dead. Its a moot point once it gets to that.

Maybe if youre right next to turret full HP and bind them, sure. But thats not aftershock.

I take it back -- it seems they did change the Q CD reduction per level which is really good actually (this wasn't on the PBE).

Now you can get something out of maxing Q instead of the increased damage (which Lux support didn't care).
