Good to know that you turned Shen in to the top lane Rek-Sai.
**Overbearing in professional play, essentially useless to everyone else. **
I've seen a lot of reworks not really hit the mark, but this one was by far the worst to me. But I guess that's pretty much a standard when you put a large majority of a champion's power budget in to their Q. Here's an idea, keep the gigantic damage reduction on his Q the way it is. In return, maybe....
-
Get rid of the stupid minigame in his kit? No one wants to play against themselves while they're playing against an opponent.
-
Give his multi-teammate sustain back? You know, considering it was an incredibly unique ability that to this day no one else has a similar function to. But I guess there was no room for that when you could just add tons of extra damage. ON A FULL TANK.
-
Put the 50% damage reduction back on his taunt. The entire point of a champion being a full tank, ESPECIALLY one with a taunt, is the ability to force your enemies to harm themselves. What the fuck kind of full tank doesn't synergize with THORNMAIL? The unfortunate answer to that is a champion that completely lost it's identity from an incredibly average rework that was way off mark.
TL:DR; Keep the damage nerfs. But compensate with something that makes his kit more rounded and closer thematically to the old Shen.
