Usually you max damage over utility first.

It's usually situational for me. I used to max W first sometimes if I thought I'd be needing the heal a lot but since they removed the creep heal on it I don't do that anymore. Now, I max E if my main tactic is to stun them because they're more powerful than me and Q otherwise.

i played trundle for a good 6 months before learning that you max Q, not W first.
