RIOT: Role Diversity

Can I finally be reverted and have an ACTUAL passive?

Can I finally be reverted and have an ACTUAL passive?
Lol what?
I want Skarner to be useable in other roles again, not just jungle.
what does "role diversity" have to do with Skarner? he is a nice jungler and he has barely been anything more than that even before his rework he was pretty much just a jungler
His passive is actually useless outside of jungle. Role Diversity means being able to flex to other roles.
I played a lot of Skarner when I first started playing. He carried me out of bronze 5 all the way to silver 2. I have since had to learn other champs and my highest rank is gold 2 so far, though I ended fold 3 last season.
Before the juggernaut changes, I primarily played Skarner in the top plane, and would even play him mid as a sort of pocket pick vs melee assassin's. I rarely played him jungle, but the point is I could play him in other roles.
Now, I still try to force him out every so often, because I'm stubborn, but it just feels awful. His passive and overloaded E spell, not to mention all of the scaling and stat changes, have left him in a terrible spot overall as a champion.
Tldr- I used to play Skarner in roles other than jungle. I'd like to do that again and not feel like I am handy capping myself

so... TLDR "i am selfish and that is the only reason i i want his passive removed" got it
Tldr- you obvious don't read at all. I don't want his passive removed, I want it reverted. I guess that makes me selfish? Like all the Rengar mains and LeBlanc mains?
Skarner's current passive is a terrible gimmick that is not good for Skarner as a champion, and it also doesn't line up with a now expressed goal for RIOT games, which is champions being able to play more than one role. What does the passive do for Skarner? It restricts him, and confines his power to a few zones were at least 75% of the actual game doesn't happen. It can be denied from him if he's behind, or even if ahead with good vision. It doesn't make him better at controlling objectives, it doesn't make his jungle clear top tier in terms of speed, all the spires DO is make Skarner weaker pretty much everywhere else on the map.
Skarner is one of if not my favorite champion in this game atm. I want what is good for Skarner.

so... you just said exactly what i said... good thanks for admitting that you are selfish
And thank you for adding nothing to the thread and not actually engaging the conversation I guess.

and thank you for not adding anything yourself
I said plenty, gave thoughts on his current state beyond comments like "meh, durr, I dont like it!" You came in here with no other intent than to selfishly pleasure yourself by insulting me. Be a chum, and just don't comment any more.

your comment is "i am a main of a champion so please revert him!" ok... not going to happen regardless
Rengar Q is getting reverted, something mains asked for. Leblanc is getting partially reverted as well. It would not be the first time that RIOT has made changes like this, so your comment "not going to happen regardless" is baseless and false. It just so happens that this request in particular also happens to line up with one of their stated goals for champions this year: Role diversity, which they defined as being able to perform in multiple roles (top/mid/jungle/adc/support) within the game.
On a personal note, I specifically addressed this problem with Riotscruffy when the juggernaut changes were happening addressing this very point. So, I am hoping that if it gets Riot's attention, that maybe they will at least consider it.
I am one of the few Skarner mains that still makes threads occasionally, but none of us liked his passive when it came out or even before when it was introduced to us. Its not fun or interesting gameplay and gives him no superior advantage over controlling objectives, it just hurts him a lot when he doesn't have it. Nunu, Shyvana, and heck, even Kalista have better objective pressure than Skarner.

Rengar is getting his old Q back because they were not satisfied with how his new one behaved and believe that his old one would be easier to balance.
LeBlanc is getting a full rework... again, there is no "partial revert" it's literally them reworking her again.
If Skarner actually is in that terrible of a spot then maybe they will look at him but he isn't struggling in any way, shape or form currently. So yeah he is not going to be changed regardless. You can say it is baseless and false all you want it won't change that fact. Bringing up two random champions that are getting reworked/reverted to some degree doesn't mean Skarner is in any position to receive the same treatment. How many people have been crying since the Karma rework? since the Poppy, Sion and Yorick reworks? the Soraka rework? pretty sure that there are people out there who would rather see any reworked champion back to how they were before the rework because they enjoyed playing the champion more before they got reworked.

True, but my point in bringing them up is that it is a possibility. I am not one to say I know Riot's thoughts on a certain champion. The fact that they HAVE reverted changes in the past that didn't work out, they weren't satisfied with, etc. in combination with their stated goal of role diversity is why I believe Skarner would be a possible target for change, since his passive, by its very nature, RESTRICTS Skarner's effectiveness in any role that isn't jungle. I am posting with the hopes of raising awareness of this exact thing, since Skarner is not a very popular champion, it would be easy to over look him.

This is most certainly true, and you can debate the "success" of different reworks all you want, and that is fine, but Riot themselves have stated that Skarner juggernaut was not a successful rework overall.
I have plenty of reasons besides my love of the champion to hope for something to happen. If you can't see it, or disagree that's fine.
