Patch version 8.2 Item Shop Purchase Glitch Workaround (Sell items, Undo sales, Buy upgraded item)

With this most recent patch (version 8.2), I've been having problems purchasing and upgrading items from the Item Shop in-game, and it seems many others are affected as well.

The issues that seem to be happening are:

• The gold amount to purchase or upgrade an item is listed improperly.

• The shop does not allow you to purchase an item, despite having more than enough gold to buy or fully upgrade to the item.

• Supports seem to be hit the hardest by the glitch, though I haven't determined whether it's a Support-only issue or affecting all positions.

In any case, you came for a workaround, or so I would imagine, so here's what I've found.

For an example, let's assume you have the following build and.. 5000g (you've been on a murderous rampage and already have 5 pentakills before 10 minutes):

Now, despite the fact that you and the entire battlefield are painted in the blood of your enemies, you still want to upgrade to Ardent Censer when the Shop starts glitching on you. While the shopkeeper's demise may seem appealing (and likely doable in your case), try this instead.

• Sell items until you have at least 2 empty item slots, and Ardent Censer's icon lights up as being able to purchase.
• If it doesn't light up, sell more items until it does.
• Do NOT buy or sell items that lock the use of the Undo button until after you're done with the shop.
• Do not buy the Ardent Censer yet, but select its icon in the shop.
• Now, use the Undo button to return your previously sold items to your inventory.
• Assuming it worked, you should be able to purchase Ardent Censer now.

Please note, while this generally seems to be working for me, I haven't tested it enough to confidently say it will always work every time. I'll make some updates to this as I learn more.

tl;dr

1. Be sure you have enough gold to buy or upgrade to the item you desire.

• The shop isn't always displaying prices correctly, so you may have to go by memory at times.

2. Sell items until you have enough empty item slots for each component, or until the item's icon you wish to purchase lights up.

• Avoid buying/selling items that prevent the use of the Undo button until after you're done using the shop.

3. Once your item of choice lights up, click it (do not buy it yet).
4. Undo all item sales.
5. Buy the item you wanted to purchase in the first place.
