"Rengars ban rate being ignored"

Touch My Box··10 votes·749 views

The %%%% has had a 60% ban rate since his release, and you nerf his base damage by 20, but you completely fuck over Shaco with his 10% ban rate. Okay Meddler.

Why is such drastic action being taken against Shaco, but not Rengar? when SIXTY FUCKING PERCENT of the community doesn't want him in the game.

You won't nerf Syndra because of a slight drop in ban rate, but when Rengar has a steadily high one, its 20 fucking damage?

Pathetic.

Banrate =/= Strength.

People ban Rengar because they don't like playing against him. He had a 46% winrate when his rework was released, slowly climbed to around 48% and is now sitting at a 47% winrate. Shaco is currently sitting at a 55% winrate.

Might not represent strength, but it certainly represents the communities feelings.

Why don't they want to play against him? Pretty sure it was 20 damage on Bola Strike.

Hurting Rengars base damage means you hurt his ability to snowball, which makes it less likely for him to get to a point where he can kill things easily. Bonetooth necklace is alot of his damage output, and making it harder for him to stack it certainly does hurt the champion.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

but you forget theres effective nerfs and then theres love taps.

20 damage is rarely an issue in capacity to kill a target.

what i like to use as an example is wukong.

if you were to remove damage from his clone (which never deals any significant damage whatsoever to anything) his win rate would go down despite seeing no effective change in terms of combat effectiveness.

rengars capacity was not hurt to snowball at all because he only needs his leap strike and autos, if you take 20 damage off ebola nothing has changed because it wasn't the difference between him needing to auto one more time to get the kill he would now otherwise miss. he still gets the kill.

what you will notice is that 20 damage on ebola leads to slower clears early, and that leads to lower health totals when ganking, that matters. by him having to take an additional auto attack from a camp.

First off, they also nerfed the base damage on his Q. Second, just read what they wrote about these Rengar nerfs in the patch notes.

try playing against rengar and tell me what he does that kills you in particular.

until you play against him or play him yourself you have no idea of what actually happens in game.

when rengar kills me its because he pressed R, leaped on me, and auto'd me once for over 2000 damage. he doesn't need q w e at all.

he needs straight utility nerfs on his R (MS only applies for first few seconds of ult duration, remove the guaranteed crit, if he wants it he should build it) and condition his passive to lose 1 or more stacks if he dies.

dom to bjerg - "oh baby, i just got my 4th kill, this game is over already" - scoreboard - 6-8.

I have played against Rengar, and I have played Rengar.

Your math might be a little bit off here buddy :^)

His ultimate's utility got nerfed super hard already with the rework...

Try playing him, understand the champion. It's quite clear to me you really don't know anything about him.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

no im just the person who wins against rengar. by picking team fight oriented tanks and just running it down mid so he cant do jack against my otherwise incompetent, all squishy team.

as i've said in the past, rengar is a stat check, hes not actually a functioning champ.

Favoritism.

When Shaco kills 1 person from stealth instantly then dies because he has nothing else to do after, he must be gutted. But when Rengar does it to 3 people instantly it's A-OK.

stick to digimon

RavenMagus3 votes

Shaco is much more reliable at doing that.

Especially when a good support can completely nullify what either of them do - but you can't see Shaco coming, while you get a big warning sign for Rengar.

You get a big puff of orange smoke for Shaco.. and decent warding will show you where he is near.

RavenMagus2 votes

If you're not looking exactly where Shaco vanished from you don't see the puff. It's not 'big'. Certainly not anything like a loud noise and large symbol above your head.

Puff of smoke is pretty easy to notice, or are people just really really bad at looking at the whole screen at once?

Dracocrash3 votes

If shaco's play rate ever increases, you can be sure people will start banning him hard core.

ALso if you take ALL rengar nerfs into context, they are on the same level as shaco.

Can we stop pretending like shaco didn't need nerfs? Yeah your freelo main got nerfed, its sad. (not)

Meanwhile Akali was strapped onto an Urgot chair despite having a 45% winrate and a 1.5% pickrate. Riot plays favorites and doesn't even try to hide it.

Dracocrash3 votes

but they are buffing her? How is that showing favoritism? Also akali has a higher winrate than rengar, so please stop quoting 45% with no legitimate source.

Are you telling me a 55% winrate champion, doesn't need nerfs?

He has one of the highest Playerbase Average Games of all champs, players only being more loyal to Fiddlesticks,Wukong, Riven, Thresh and Heimerdinger.

He has a high win rate because only the dedicated players pick him.

Zilean mid has the same win-rate as him, better nerf cause it is only ever about win rates when retards talk.

Dracocrash3 votes

1% play rate and 6% playrate, huge difference. Learn to use play rates also.

Source for his player base being dedicated to him?

rengar is only 7 games away from shaco when you consider average games played.

So why is his winrate so low?

Brain Errör 4041 votes

People threw that argument out the window when it was on used on Vayne. I'm throwing it out the window again, even if it's a legitimate claim.

Also, AP shaco is busted rn.

but they are buffing her?

Are they? Must have missed it because last I heard Rickless said they won't be balancing her further because she's "not on fire".

Also it's expected that a champion with a higher than average pick rate would have a lower than average winrate. It's when a champion has both a low pick rate and a low winrate that you know they're weak.

King of Demons2 votes

They nerfed his passive so fucking hard and fixed a bug that made him extremely strong as well

What's your issue? He isn't played nor banned anymore in my games. I haven't seen him in the past 3 weeks

Dracocrash3 votes

yeah, but he only wants to take information from ONE patch, that proves his point.

Oh, do you have a fact, that disproves boards logic? TOO BAD. PREPARE FOR DOWN VOTES.

Reaper Soraka1 votes

wait they lowered Rengar's base damage by 20? That is like...a lot? Isn't that like 15-20%?
