Is anyone else concerned by the fact that they made Mikaels a must buy on every single support?

You act as though everyone in competitive play wasn't already buying it on every utility support in the game.

It's only really a must buy if they have a form of hard CC stopping your YI or Vayne all the time. Something Like this wouldn't really save a Kog Maw for example.

Keep it mind, you can also cleanse yourself, Imagine putting this on Soraka.

Hum, you sure about that? It's true for QSS or the Cleanse summoner spell, but I thought you couldn't use Mikael while CC'ed.

Huh, I#m actually not sure, I know there was some change sometime, but I don't remember in what direction.

You can Mikael's yourself if you are rooted or slowed, but not if you are silenced/knocked up/stunned/suppressed.

Actually, I'm still worried about Solari still being too strong, even without the Aura, but I'm quite convinced by the Support Items changes.

Now, most Support items are situational, and none is obviously a must buy on everyone ---some could be, but that requires further testing.

  • Censer is for brawling and trading when you are ahead.
  • Solari is to protect against Burst.
  • Mikael is to protect against CC (note that it completely lost the heal on Active).
  • Redemption is... I'm not really sure, but I'd say cross-map pressure.

I would say Solari is best vs aoe teams, not burst in and of itself. Ex. It will be much more effective vs a Brand than a Syndra. Face of the mountain is really better for burst.

Redemption is strong when built around your team comp, good for all in comps. Throwing that and stunlocking the enemy team with a Naut and Sej means you can all run onto them and both get healed and damage them. It is also really strong with some champs like Taric, who can chain it with his ult. Definitely an ally team based item.

Redemption should also be nice with a wombo combo team, as it allows no damage supports like Janna/Soraka to add a 10% max HP true damage nuke to combo. It will be somewhat hard to land without allied CC since there is the 2.5 second delay.

So if you have Malphite + Amumu on your team, you can get redemption to help them blow up the enemy team and heal them while they are diving.

I mean Mikael's was already a must buy (at least at high Elo from what I understand), while this will certainly make it even stronger, (especially reducing the cooldown by a full minute!), so this won't make it bought much more on mage supports since they already get one everygame, but tank supports will probably pick it up now too.

Yeah it probably won't' reach live with those numbers, too cheap, and too overloaded active.

I'm annoyed that it's mostly for healers. I wish it was an option for non-healer supports that needed some more protecting power. Building this on Soraka just seems redundant, and janna and nami have peel to get the enemies away from your stunned teammate. Raka to adc: You need health. Do you want to use heal, or should I use w, or mikaels, or ult? How about redemption?

The active is nice, but would be better for other styles of support. I want to see the healing amplifier removed and it be given health instead of mana regen. Make it more like the current locket. Healers already have ardent censer, poke/healers have athenes, but tank supports are losing their health options, and have weak anti-initiation. Sure, they can jump in and cc whoever dives their partner, but healers already have enough tools to blunt a thresh engage.
