That's how my 5th promo series in a row from plat 5 to plat 4 ended. The same way as the first 4: toxic players.

So now I have a 50% win rate over the last 20 games, all exclusively from promo games (I haven't lost after failing promos) and nothing to show for it other than a lower MMR. System works great.

I dont even bother. HIt G5 with a 67% WR last year. Hit G5 with a 65% WR this year. No motivation to climb once I get my skin lol

I reached my P4 promos with a 63% win rate. Now I'm at 58% and still at my P4 promos.

The system is designed this way. Maybe you peaked. You're supposed to climb to where you belong and the closer you are to there the longer it takes to climb. You cruised through the lower divisions because you didn't belong there. When it's taking longer like this it means you're close to your skill level. Probably gonna end up plat 2/3

Skill level hasn't been the determining factor in my promo losses. It's been trolls. Every single promo (5 series now) has gone to game 3 and every game 3 has been lost due to a troll, and that's not an exaggeration. I'd have a 67% win rate in promos over my last 20 games, but instead it's 50%.

It shows the problem of the ranking system. Your win rate is 60% but you don't win 2 in a row in promos, so you won't climb.. see the problem ?

Trolls are always a problem. The ultimate solution is to get rid of toxicity, but that's the "end world hunger" Miss America answer. Requiring 1 fewer win means you're twice as likely to not have promos ruined by a troll or bad matchmaking (assuming it's linear).

You would still need to have over a 50% win rate (at promos) to get promoted, considering the win to get into promos is always mandatory.

I made it to platinum. I've been playing for less than 2 years. I quit. am done with the subjective ranked system that foces everyone to have an equal winrate. basically matchmaking is like "if your doing good. we will put you down, that guy that went 0/11 last game is on your team. other team has better players. oh your losing. lets make you win few games so we repeat the cycle".

MMbullshit. the way it works is literal BS at how when you actually make it to a specific rank. its god damn near impossible to go down. hell even next season or the one before it. I've seen people literally lose all their promos as D5s. they get platinum 1. wtf?

I got Silver 3 from gold 1. But I made it to platinum in very short time because I got better. but I have no intention in playing because there is literally no point where every point I lose in I have highest kill contribution. damage. cs tower destroyed and every possible stat I can get but still can't win because MMR sucks. if you make it to diamond it takes very little effort to make it to diamond next season.

Working as intended. If you buy a skin though, the matchmaker gives you 5 easier games in a row. Just remember that next time you go for promos.

i feel your pain, everytime i get plat3/plat 4 promos i win them but then next 5 games are quite terrible since i just got off a massive win streak to get promoted and then get demoted and the cycle repeats itself. kinda reason why i have 54% win rate in 210 games lol. 10+ win streak followed by a 8+ loss streak.

I dont play ranked for the rewards, i like to see how far i can get. But I don't enjoy ranked as much this season.
