Can someone PLEASE explain this matchup to me.

Here is me going against a full plat team while my team isn't even fully plat.

For the past few matches I have been solo queing going against plat teams with some high gold. Why am I going against plats with plats also on my team. Not to mention this is a bit of a struggle for me and I have no fucking clue on what to do.

I heard its because of my high mmr and honestly I have no idea how it got high in the first place.

Can someone explain on how can I stop this from happening without queing with anyone else. Because when I 5 man I get gold 1-5 matches. We also lost this match btw including most of the matches I've been against plats.

In order to not make queue times 50 minutes, the ranked system allows you to play with people 1 divison above or below you. However not both at once. therefore you will never have a silver and gold team vs a gold and plat team. Your team had a gold 1 and a gold 3. Thats close to plat 5. Their skill levels should in theory by similar enough that one team doesnt have a huge disadvantage. If you dont like that system then though luck because you wouldn't like even larger queue timers.

You have a Plat I and your Gold II Volibear has really high mmr with his 66% winrate. Seems fair to me.

you have a 66% win rate in gold 3, hence you are fighting higher elo players? Your 5 man probably drags the ranks down. if you fight higher elo players you generally gain more LP

How is this remotely uneven? The other team is mostly plat 4 or 5 your team has a plat 1.

Looks pretty alright to me. Few matches are exactly matched in MMR...there's simply not enough people playing at a given time (especially since 3-5 people can queue together now and they need to find similarly MMR'd players also queued together) to do that. That said, if you win then you win more LP and your MMR goes up more. If you lose against higher MMR'd players, then it goes down less. It does even out over time.

My issue is that I'm bounced all over the place since I only play norms. I'm with/against plat and diamond one match, and bronze and silver the next. I won't even try to claim my own elo because I don't really care (I'd play rank if I did), but swapping back and forth constantly has been leading to a lot of complete stomps. That's not fun. I have maybe 1 out of every 5 matches that isn't a stomp and is...you know....actually fun and exciting.

Matchmaking is ridiculous at the moment. I feel that anything more than about 3 divisions between the players is already unfair. I've seen worse though.
