its legit worse than kench. kench can save his ADC from ganks, sure. but illaoi can straight up kill all 3 of them and then spam ctrl+3.
most oppressive supp champion in the history of this game, by FAR. never had so much fun as a supp before, even when thresh was released. if she gets nerfed, her going bot lane will be the reason for the nerf. 100%

i feel the adc is just there for back up on hit damage tbh. she does so damn much and does even more when ppl try to come to the lane at lvl 6+.

She takes kills from her adc and neither of them wind up getting fed. She is like any other kill lane. They are highly susceptible to ganks. If you are on a good team they will gank kill lanes often for they have poor peel. if you are on a bad team like the op might have been, your jung or mid wont gank or roam and you will spend all day pressed to turret waiting for that gank that will never come. and your team will lose.

for one thing you shouldnt be able to get near ash without getting smacked by 2 or 3 tentacles. 2nd of all she much more than a simple kill lane. if played right she can zone the hell out of the enemy bot lane on top of constant harassment with her E. most typical kill just try to straight up kill you as soon as possible, illaoi doesnt care if you die or not. she is only there to make it hell for the enemy bot lane, more specifically the adc.
as for ganks, like i said before you should not underestimate her ult. the more ppl that come after her the stronger she gets at 6+. try ganking a lvl 6 
with 3 tentacles out + an additional 3 from her ult and see what happens.
did i mention each tentacle does 300 damage per tentacle to targets without having damage reduced for additional targets hit?

it really isnt like other kill lanes. you can play keep away with xin, kite him, and eventually he will scale into nothing if u deny him kills since he has no CS.
illaoi base damages AND ratios are so high that it actually doesnt matter if u deny her kills, she will still scale into a monster that does insane damage mid and late game. her tentacles are just that good right now. also someone like xin cant harass, he can only all in or try to all in to force either a kill or a flash/heal/exhaust. illaoi can just grab souls with E for guranteed damage OR to force/bait a fight. not only that but the adc will have to dodge tentacles the entire lane phase without the ADC or ill doing anyhting at all other than cast another E.
its nothing like a kill lane, its an oppression lane.

I did kill the tentacles on the wall so they did not build up. AND my team did in fact come for ganks pre and post 6 to apply pressure and show her why champs with no peel shouldn't play supp.
Her tentacles on a whole are an obstacle but depending on who you are using, she is no harder than any other kill lane. That's all I was saying. Kill lane or harass lane.
I am very patient in lane and I hit skill shots very well. I don't lose lane often with a decent adc. I have been on a Blitz kick as of late.

i just checked your profile. you havent played against a single illaoi support......... but whats funny is that all the games u did go up against her, except for one, you have lost. 2ndly, ALL of them are team builder games, not ranked.

I didn't say that she wasn't a good champ. I can beat her out of lane and still lose the match. YI just played against her in a game a minute ago. My team shat on her and her adc. Then my team was ahead so far they decided to troll and lose. I said if they were going to troll i was going to go watch tv. So i did. With in seconds of me saying this they quit while we were several kills ahead. I don't care how a game ends, once the troll comes out i go watch tv till its over.
Its just a game and I have better shit to do for 20 minutes. But yeah in closing... I shit on her, in bronze, in bot, and may still lose in a regular game. None of this discounts the fact that she is a shit support that should get her adc killed. If she is better in ranked, would she not be still the same relative to the players she is in game with. Much of solo queue is a coin toss anyway.

Koechophe1 votesI played against Graves/illaoi. It was the worst laning experience ver. The adc would get grabbed, graves would unload Q + AA onto the soul, rinse and repeat. And the you can bet that your ally will kll the tentacles you need to break the curse. The damage output is insane without any items built, it is disgusting to play against.

Not sure if I really want to do it again. was playing with an ashe, and I had landed a couple kills, cause of the tentacles that spawn from using e, and later on my adc mentions his stats. they were (0/0/0) told him I was sorry, but not too long later I decide to go ward the river up, literally not even 2 seconds after I left, my adc gets trashed on. may I add we weren't even engaging on the enemy laners, this ashe just had zero map awareness, plus I even had the speedy boots! Not to also mention he got hit by two global ults. (caitlin ult and ziggz ult) then he starts complaining like its my fault, and then calls me an ass fuck. Theeeen doesn't even come back to lane. The dude was seriously salty because I had a couple kills and he had nothing. so pathetic. I mean jealous much? then some other guy on the team has the nerve to tell me to stfu when I say something back. Sorry but this community is so fuckin broken. I have always been a pretty peacefully player but my god will this community make you break necks. anyways yeah. horrible salty ashe player probably killed me wanting to run her down there again. But im glad you had some luck with her at bot and didn't have salty adcs too worry about.
EcchiOtakuTM1 votesWell she's a weak champ outside of teamfights, no CC to peel someone off her adc, a weak version of blitz's grab, and she can't cc someone to help secure a kill all she's betting on is the enemy lets her soul grab.
She doesn't need a buff or nerf she needs a balance of power change cause all she offer is strong damage if a teamfight is a cluster**** and disorganized or a siege composition outside of that she's weak and only strong if you don't take the time to understand her
What I would suggest to riot is change her to an ap/magic damage tank and lower her damage a bit would make her more consistent
