Jinx Buff Vs Other Adc's And The Yasuo Nerfs

I just don't understand.

Soon after the pre-season marksman update the likes of KogMaw with guinssoos was uber broken. Nobody complained about this and thought it was perfectly healthy game play when this champion could wipe out entire teams just by building attack speed items and having peel from his team. Caitlyn traps and headshots were pretty bad too but not as bad as other champions and was a top pick in the lcs. While Jhin and Sivir were always picked. Lucian as well was always played as a grab first pick so no one else can have him. Even though Lucian doesn't even build standard Adc and builds armor pen assassin items like item 3142 and item 3071. You are saying this champion is healthy and is being played the ways Adc's are meant to be played? With the recent Jinx ult buff she is no where NEAR the way Kog and Lucian were especially. People wanted a change in the champions bot lane and here is them trying to make an attempt at it while still keeping the other bot lane champions viable. Now here are people complaining about a change they wanted to happen. People are so bias when champion they don't like or champion that's not their main gets buffed.

Lets use op.gg

Her win rate is 54% and look at her play rate 20% out of the 100+ champions in the game! of course she is gonna have a high win rate. Lets look at Aatrox he is played 0.26% of the time. Comparing that with Jinx his win rate is going to be much lower at 45.43%. The way Jinx is played more give her more of a chance to have a higher win rate.

Now lets look at Yasuo , a champion that is very popular as well as being nerfed due to him being played in a way he wasn't meant to. Tank. His play rate top is 8.49% while his mid play rate is 11.11%. His win rate is 55.01%! _He has a higher win rate than Jinx and Jinx is played a little more than Yasuo _ To be frankly honest using Yasuo 's nerfs and win rate in order to Justify that Jinx shouldn't have been buffed is complete non sense and has no reason to be brought up judging by the circumstances of Yasuo 's nerfs and Jinx 's ult buff. _You cannot compare Yasuo 's reasons for being nerfed to Jinx's ult being buffed. She has had win rate above 50% anyway and has stayed within a 1% or 2% difference than before her ult was buffed. _

Another thing. Yasuo is not being nerfed due to his win rate either he is being nerfed because how effective building tank was. From what I've see out of other players Jinx is not building tank, Jinx is not building Assassin, she is building normal Adc the way she was meant to be played.

A small factor that helps contribute to her win rate as well is that she is 1 of the 2 Adc's that are given to new players. Garen is teetering just below at 49% Khazix is just above 50% at 51% and Annie is at a 53%. These champions all have good win rates and are forced upon players that are lower levels just starting off. Yasuo takes serious grinding in Ip to (get 6300 ip) and his accessibility is more limited than the starter champions. Jinx does cost 6300 ip as well but she has the advantage of being a starter champion so despite Jinx costing 6300 ip she still is forced to be played at low levels.

Tl;dr: This Jinx ult buff is not something massively game breaking compared to the other Adc's such as KogMaw after rework yet nobody complained about the likes of him. Jinx is played a little more than Yasuo's play rate yet her win rate is smaller. Jinx is built the way she is meant too unlike Yasuo who was nerfed because he wasn't being built the way he was intended. Finally, the starter champions Jinx , Garen , Annie ect ALL have play rates that hover a % win rate just above or below 50% because they are forced upon low level beginning players and are guaranteed to gain a win or loss because the are forced to be played for a time period. Yasuo is less accessible and has a win rate this is higher than Jinx. Despite both being priced at 6300 Jinx is guaranteed to be played by beginning players having more chances to gain a win. _You cannot compare Yasuo 's reasons for being nerfed to Jinx's ult being buffed. She has had win rate above 50% anyway and has stayed within a 1% or 2% difference than before her ult was buffed. _

It is in the nature of people on the boards to downvote a topic that opposes their point of view despite their being flaws in their reasoning to why they believe their idea is right. I hope I shed some light on this topic and to stop the "Mob mentality" trying to nerf other champions because their's was nerfed because it was very needed and they try to drag other champions into this just by looking at their win rate instead and including the factor as of why their win rate is that way.

Edit:

Yasuo's is played in roles mid AND top. His mid play rate is 11.11% while his top play rate is 8%. Judging by this he is actually played almost as much as Jinx

"being played more gives a higher chance of getting a good win rate"

Yeah, no. That's not how it works.

The more people that play her, the more people that are average to bad play her, specifically less experienced players with her, dragging down winrate.

The fact that she's 20% and holds above 53% (AS AN ADC, WHO TYPICALLY HOVER AROUND 50% REGARDLESS OF POWER/POPULARITY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS IN THE GAME) is absurd. Not to mention how auto attack-focused ADCs in general, outside of Ashe/Jhin, are in a pretty bad spot atm due to game pacing. The fact that Jinx does not suffer from that shows she is too strong now, similar to Jhin and Ashe.

Not only that, but it takes just as much to grind for Yasuo as it does for Jinx, and that's no excuse for her being strong. Jinx is not a 'starter character' in any way, as far as what you suggest. You have no way to get her faster than Yasuo. IP price has nothing to do with balance.

There is no mob mentality on the boards regarding Jinx.

Only an idiot's mentality: yours.

More people are dragging her down. As well as more people being able to bring her up. Your forgetting about the other factors as well that have been mentioned as she is a starter champion and win rate alone isn't enough to nerf a champion. Don't think I can use this as evidence but pros play champions to the best of her ability. She hasn't been seen in any lcs play yet so the impact of these buffs have not really been shown yet.

More people are not bringing her up. Before the people that drag her down are there, there are the mains. The people that completely understand her and have high experience with her. They are the baseline; there is no 'bringing winrate up' with playrate. Only dragging down.

She hasn't seen LCS play because she can't make an impact early on in the way that Jhin/Ashe/Sivir can. Hell, Lucian isn't even played competitively outside of pretty much Doublelift.

Bs. pure bs. Normally high playrates give a more accurate winrate, but mostly lower. (Azir)

The higher the playrate, the lower the winrate. (kinda, you get what I mean) Because the players that aren't skilled with that champion will play that champion too, with an overall worse performance.

His win rate is 55.01%! He has a higher win rate than YET is played TWICE as much!

You dont get how playrates affect winrates.

.

and so it goes on the whoel post.

I think the logic in this post was VERY HARD to find.

You are aware that the statistics are being pulled from Plat + games. This isn't Bronze/Silver Jinx players. These are Plat + players. I never understand why people want to argue higher play rate means an increase in the "bad" players that will use her.

What should be looked at is avg number of games. You should notice in the Champion.gg stats that Jinx has the third highest playerbase average. So throw out this claim that "bad" or "new" players are succeeding with her. That argument should be reserved for Miss Fortune and Twitch.

So high play rate and high playerbase average could be an indication of "Jinx Mains" but that's probably not the case. I'm actually thinking it is more about picking an ADC that doesn't have any glaring weaknesses to exploit. Another point is of the 45,000 games analyzed, over 5000 of those games were against Vayne and over 6000 games were against Lucian. 25% of her games are against two champions that she has high win rates over (57% & 55%). Of course she is going to look "strong" when her data is impacted so heavily by these two matchups. One she has clear range advantage and the other can't really use his "engage" when Jinx has two forms of disengage (Zap/chompers).

Jinx didn't need buffs, which is why the latest buff was remarkably silly. She's actually needed her numbers toned down a little because she doesn't have much to exploit if she plays smart (as most Plat players will). Remove crit from her rockets. That sort of thing. She doesn't need it. She doesn't work for it.
