You would essentially revert Darius to pre-rework where he just gets blown up in fights (since he's an immobile melee, he's going to eat quite a bit of damage just trying to enter the fight to begin with); if not WORSE, since now he deals less damage unless under the effect of his passive, has a delay (and higher cost) on Q, and has a significantly lower AS (seriously, he caps out at .73 at level 18, thats ABSURDLY low, thats the 6th lowest in the entire game).

His heal is definitely overtuned currently, but it needs to stay in SOME form, or he'll just return to having the same problems he used to have, if not becoming flat out unviable.

Edit: For comparison, Bard has the same attack speed as him (and same growth / base AS).

no tanks have cc, tanks have mobility to engage. Darius is a juggernaut. They trade the cc and mobility for extra damage, but they still need to be tanky.

look at the juggernaughts. now look at Sion , Malphite , Blitzcrank , Leona , Braum , Gnar , Gragas , Nautilus , Rammus , Shen , Sejuani .

dash>>movement speed increase stun>>silence

Darius has ONE displacement, followed by a weakened slow. The real tanks. they have hard cc for days. many of them even have ways of getting in your face to place their cc.

I'd argue a displacement is leagues more powerful than any other cc.

Because not only does it CC, but it removes the risk of you having to run into the enemy team, it brings them RIGHT to your team.

Also Garens movement speed increase is no joke, and it seems hes immune to slow during it.

Sion has no dash, neither does blitz(also displacement), leona has a hook skillshot, Nautilus neither, rammus is a speed increase, so =/

you're arguing displacement is more powerful. that's your opinion. doesn't make it fact.

blitzcrank's rocket grab is a dispalcement and a stun. stun +displacement > displacement. yes i do realize that darius can apprehend 2 people at once, but it's slower and has a shorter range, and if you do apprehend more then 2 people , if he can't heal of any of them then he's likely dead.

I never said that their cc is more powerful, although that is true, I said that they can cc you for days. look at their kits. not one of them has below 2 skills that have hard cc on them. and their non ult cc abilites can be spammed for more readily then garen's Decisive Strike, or darius's Apprehend.

he's not immune, he cleanses himself of a slow that's already on him, slow him after he uses it. he's still very kitable/

i said dash, sorry. i meant mobility. they all (baring blitzcrank but he's a special case) have strong mobility with their abilities.

sion's ult, leona's zenith blade, naut's dragline, and rammus's MSI last longer, is faster, and is up longer then garen's MSI.

Not all tanks have the same amount of cc or mobility. But in general tanks have more mobility, cc, and less damage then juggernauts.

Champion strengths for melee champions exist on a 4 scales. CC, mobility, tankiness, and damage. champions like master yi have high damage, above average mobility, but low tankiness, and no cc. tanks exist in the area with high tankiness, low damage, high cc, and above average mobility. some juggernauts can almost be tanks(hello skarner), some tanks can almost be juggernaughts, but they all exist on this scale of necessary drawbacks.

if you lower Darius tackiness by removing his heal then he'll have to either get buffs to his damage ( your dead if he ever gets close no fun), cc (you die slower but you can't do anything about it), or mobility (we already have a master yi).

This community is selfish/braindead, its so sad a bunch of Darius mains can just come here and downvote the truth when everyone knows hes OP.

Learn the meaning of empathy and apply it to your life, other people play this game besides yourselves.

And I'm not salty, want the proof as to why? How I didn't get owned by Darius?

BECAUSE I DIDN'T EVEN FIGHT HIM! His ban rate is 90%!, i haven't fought one in like 6 months, BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS HES OP!

Yet here on the forums everyones down voting honesty like "dduuuuhhhh hes da fine duh heh heh derp!"

Nerf him so I can use a ban on someone else and perhaps enjoy fighting against him, or seeing him again, or having him on my team and Roleplaying Swain/Darius (as I main Swain) without feeling like a scumbag for having my friend play Darius in a game.

If he can that is.

EDIT: we just done that yesterday and he forgot about the game and came in late vs a level 5 laner when he was level 1 and he fucking beat him as darius lol, he even 2v1'd the guys ganker lol, AT A LOWER LEVEL MISSING LIKE 5 MINUTES OUT THE GAME ROFL.

Lol look at all the thumbs down... And I say that out of how surprising it is. You all cried so damned hard to get rid of skarners heal, which required a 15 second skillshot to be aimed perfectly. And you don't bat an eye when they buffnerf him so much he becomes 10% of 10 different champions rather than one whole one. And yet Darius is fine?!
