Why do people still play AP Nidalee?

It seems at though this is the go to build for most people, even though the rework made her scale better with AD. So, why are people still building this way?

actually they nerfed her AD pretty hard and buffed her AP ratios a bit. also reduced her base attack speed. AD nid isnt very good right now.

how? the only ad ratio she has is cougar Q. and the AD ratio is only slightly better than the AP one, there's no way that spear + hop + swipe + trap + the utility of heal don't make up for that.

AP is still good, and the last change to her was meant to buff her ap build.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone else noticed that her E feels really slow. You used to be able to W+E+Q really quickly but now it doesn't really feel as fast. Might have something to do with that cone-ability bug that happened a while ago.
