You know the support role is completly screwed when people rather have a 15-20 minute queue time...
... instead of going support. Seriously. This is almost like a voluntary Low priority queue. And yet people prefer it over going support...

I don't understand why people down vote a perfectly valid point. When you've got five roles to fill, and filling four of them is no problem, but filling the fifth is a major chore, there is obviously something off with that fifth role.
I also don't understand why Riot doesn't try to fix it, for the good of the game. Give support a 20% IP boost. Or 1RP every time you play support. Or give support better drop rates in this goofy new hextech system. Offer a cool support icon to people who play 100 games as support. I mean, there are so many things Riot could do to try and address the problem, and instead they sit on their hands and leave us sitting in 20 minute queues. (And just for the record, I have been in queues a lot longer than 20 minutes since this new dynamic system was put into play.)
it's the boards. Their downvoting patterns are not always rational...
But yes, Riot should show some appreciation for the supports. That's the minimum they should do if they don't plan on changing anything ingame...
Someone else said that because secondary support is basically primary support, less people are playing support overall thus making the queue time far longer.
If Riot's system wasn't completely broken, secondary support would be 20-30% of the queues and we'd all have shorter queue times.

"Secondary" isn't really secondary, that's why. You're just picking 2 roles where neither has priority. Otherwise there wouldn't be cases of ques instantly popping and the person getting their secondary. Riot simply mislabeled and falsely advertised the new queue system. Which role you get is based on who is queuing at the moment and has nothing to do with which you selected first or second.

it definenitely is secondary, if i pick two roles that don't invlove support i get my primary like 90% of the time.

That's random depending on who ques. I am a jungle primary and I've had 10 games in a row of mid, I tried top then got top 4 games in a row. On my alt in rank I went mid primary jungle secondary and the que popped instantly every game and I got jungle. Speaking of secondaries, I am in champ select right now as top even though I am Jungle primary, want to know how long my que for this game was? 20 seconds. It made no effort into putting me as a jungler.
In fact, this is the first season where I've been forced to lane this often.
Yeah I would go secondary support as well, but I don't want it to be my primary. GG Rito
I dont know man. I might start playing more support. At the moment being a mid main I see too many people playing super squish comps and trying to solo carry. Funny thing is that I've found solo carrying to be so much harder in this meta.
Bot lane has been the source of blame in a lot of the games I'm in and if I play a good disengage/engage support I feel that bot lane will have a greater chance and we can look towards winning a few more games.
I literally have never had a queue time that long. On the occasions I hit 5 min I restart queue and get one rather quickly.
the amt of time it takes to get a game in dynamic que is the same amount ot time it takes to play a game it seems in season 6...... idk if people like this, im just realizing a relationship
