What if kill gold = assist gold?

Meaning, whenever you were able to snatch an assist, no matter how many other people are getting it, you would get a flat rate of 300g. (Or more/less depending on who is killed)

How game-breaking would this change be?

######And I mean, supports would finally get out of their "gold starvation", right? :))))))))

So if you get a 5-man gank where you all get an assist, you get 1500 total gold for your team, or 2000 for first blood? That's almost gg right there it's so much gold. Totally make the game way too much more snowbally.

you want this game to be even more snowbally? -____-

extremely gamebreaking. completely negates the point of getting kills vs getting an assist, so you might as well get rid of player scores and stick with teamwide gold rewarding when a player is killed. or start team gold pooling so one player is never gold fucked since the whole team has the same amount of gold. just differs on how they use it.

The "assist gold" is really, the only reason supports are getting less gold than everyone else, plus all that "no farming" kind of mechanic. And even till this day, I wonder why they are complaining. So the question in the title just came to mind.

When you are building an actual support (and not a second midlaner or a full tank) your items are actually far more cost effective than other roles. Thus you really don't need as much gold (as much as it would be nice) a possible other change is similar to the smite items, except with a gp5 item that says 'I am a support, give me full gold for assists', but you also have to make that item non-viable for combat or otherwise everyone will pick it up, but it'd be nice.

It will be an amazing change, as it will get rid of the "ks" mentality that takes over the minds of adc and assassin players.

No, it'd be a terrible change. It'd be a buff to intentional feeders (and cause huge problems for teams with unintentional feeders).

One team has a feeder, all 5 members of the enemy team group mid, and every time the feeder dies the enemy team gets +1500 gold. For comparison, the team with the feeder needs to perfectly farm 4 waves of minions to be tied on gold.

If a person is feeding, their gold bounty goes down, so the other team won't receive as much gold.

It depends on how much they're feeding, if they get a kill/assist to reset their value, how much they farm in between, etc. but the point remains that 1 person dying to a 5 man team would put your team very far behind.

You've also got to consider inflated prices for items. When people generally have more money, things become more expensive. This would make the game even more snowbally.
