Nautilus is extremely stupid to go against in the top lane right now

Can we nerf his E base damage? He builds mostly tank and can do half your health with E + Q and 2-3 Autos

I guess they're already nerfing him in the exact way I said, so there was no reason to make this post, everybody is just downvoting it because it's already going through.

If he has to go through multiple abilities and autos, he's probably going to do damage, no?

Hold up, I just checked. This was you as Lissandra facing a Nautilus right? You do know Naut counters Lissandra, right?

Wasn't my choice, I got secondary role, first pick. I still think Naut needs some base damage E nerfs, he was meant to be tank, not the Cinderhulk Meta. Even if he does counter me he is still one of the stupidest champions to face in the top line since he forces you to trade, and has a shield.

If you're first pick, you really shouldn't have used Lissandra, who is traditionally a counter pick.

Base damage nerfs are weird in that they actually promote offensive ratio based builds, and it's the wrong thing you'd want to do to solidify him as a low damage tank. If he was in need of a nerf to set him as a tank, you'd target his ratios.

And he can only start a fight if there's a literal clear line between himself and you and if it's been a whopping 18 seconds since he last fired his Q. He's not some lane bully out of control like Panth towards any squishy melee champ, he's just a tank that happens to sit all over Lissandra.

Actually, that is correct to an extent. His base damages are extremely high for a tank, and most Nautilus' are building full tank, his base damage is definitely what you want to target here. It's true he can't really start a fight unless he hits Q, but after he does hit a q he uses shield, autos you (suppress), presses e, autos you, and keeps trying to auto until his shield is down doing DoT with shield and applying pressure with autos.

With any melee champ he can actually just walk up to you and auto you and start trading with you when he feels like it.

No that's not what I mean. What I meant is that the AP Bruiser Nauts (and you were playing against one (Abyssal Scepter)) are going to notice their lack of damage from E and switch to heavier AP focused builds. If done incorrectly, a base damage nerf switches him fully from a Tank build to an AP Bruiser build ala Rumble and Ryze.

And furthermore, if you really can't either bait his Q or hide behind minions, you probably failed somewhere (like picking Lissandra as an early pick). There's nothing about Naut's engage patterns, at least pre 6, that you shouldn't have been able to stop somewhere.

And you need to be reeeeeaaaally bad at minion wave control if he's just walking up to you in lane and auto attacking away without being punished for it.

You simply got your arse countered by a certain champ and ask for their nerf. Nice of you.

Right, he completely fucking smashed me dood. I'm asking for a nerf because he's strong.

I usually don't use winrates as an example, but he has the highest win rate in top lane. That says something, go troll a different board like memes and games.
