Your favorite season?

All of this is my personal opinion For me it was season 2 for a couple of reasons:

  • Mobility creep did not exist the way it did in later seasons, yet at the same you had more options than you did back in season 1
  • Fastest queues that i can remember and the ranking experience i feel was both the hardest and most deserving. It felt like you were at the Elo you belong.
  • 19 champions released and every release had so much hype around it (including my main)
  • Meta shifted a lot, but never too drastic. For me it feels like each consecutive season after gets worse and worse due to the fact that the above mentioned things i liked get worse and worse:
  • Mobility creep is terrible
  • Each season queue times and matchmaking gets worse
  • about 6 champions are released yearly
  • Meta almost never changes, but if it does it changes almost everything completely and usually for the worst (just look at this awful pre-season)

Older season cause of nostalgia. Playing with full man normals with friends on skype was the best thing ever.

Season 2, because of worlds, I was VERY hyped. Especially when they did innovative stuff like tank Rengar, at least it was innovative in my eyes I wasn't aware of it.

I was super super excited during Season 2 worlds throughout the whole thing. After that, nothing really hit for me.

Stacking gold items was pretty fun. Just gaining passive gold while you run around and roam.

Also TPA won, pretty sweet.

I think it is not only nostalgia, back in season 2 it was still relatively new and had so much room to grow. After that it feels like it became stale.

Season 3 for sure. Duo'd with an Irelia as Eve mid and got plat with him. Also, LB still had silence but was never seen in competitive environments so everyone thought she was trash, so I got to play her every game :3

I don't have a favorite. I suppose Season 7 is the closest I could call a favorite due to the evolution of the game since it is the newest, least stale season at this time. It is still evolving and still has more to learn.

Older season are dead ends of learning, for many reasons. They have all the information already there and already happened so we know a great deal about what is effective there. More practically even if there was anything to learn from them, the knowledge would have for the most part became useless (exempting general skills which don't change between seasons).
