ive been seeing a lot of "get out of low elo" guides recently

and im starting to see how much they effect low elo, all of them are coming from people that are better than the elo their climbing through and people seem to not get this, if your stuck in an elo these videos are like get rich quick schemes they just dont work

a point i always see is the classic "dont rely on your team" ya sure that works for them as someone who is high elo but you know who it doesnt work for? the people watching it to improve because they dont play like a high tier player, it ends up doing the opposite and breeds this "im great my team is holding me back" attitude so many hardstuck people have, it strokes their ego and stops them from trying to improve on their gameplay because they dont see themselves as doing anything wrong all they see are "my team did x and thats why we lost" which is gonna do nothing but hold them back from actually improving and this point alone is a huge problem in low elo leading to many teammates that flame and blame others for their own mistakes along with players that refuse to let themselves get carried and try to be a hero which leads to more losses than you might think

" Don't rely on your team " basically means that a players decision making should be as follows CAN I GET THIS KILL/OBJECTIVE/WHATEVER ALONE WITH ZERO HELP FROM TEAM? If yes proceed if no back off. INSTEAD OF THIS NOW WE GOT A KILL MID WE SHOULD ROAM BOT AS 4 GET DOUBLE THEN DRAGON.

You need to plan what YOU are doing in low elos. If your plan involves giving a kill without getting at least a triple DONT FUCKING DO IT. It is all about YOU. The team are npcs and the enemies are better than you, that's the mentality one should use. When playing low elo don't expect people to do good team calls not on your team not on the enemy team, they will get greedy, they will fuck up that's why they are on this elo. In a silver-gold game there are always gonna be tons of 85%/15% calls to make so don't go for the fucking 55%/45% because you are ahead, a better opportunity will arise just sit your ass down and farm

Personally, I found the healthiest attitude being to find at least one thing you could have done better yourself.

Doesn't matter if the 4 other players on your team ran item 3117 item 3070 summoner 6 summoner 1 , there's something you could have done better. You could have roamed at a certain point. You could have harassed your lane opponent more. You could have harassed their Jungler a little or taken a few camps from them. You could have warded better. You could have avoided staying in a certain location too long. You could have set up a minion wave to slow push. You could have recalled at a better time.

There's always something you can do to play better. You just need to get in the mindset of looking for what that is each game.

This is like those dating guides which says if you want a bigger penis 'pull on it a couple of times a day with extra virgin olive oil, and in two weeks wish your virginity goodbye'.

Doesn't work and the people giving these views weren't forced into a 50% chance of getting a small penis to begin with.

git gud is tried and true there's a million guides and videos that can teach you the basic fundamentals on the game, which is all you need combined with good mental to climb to at LEAST gold

I don't know, I think that some of these guides can be helpful.

For example, I watched one that discouraged low elo players from playing champions like Riven or Yasuo and suggested Annie or Yi. If you're stuck in Silver III as a Yasuo main, honestly I agree.

I've also seen guides explaining wave control, good ward spots, and even roaming guides (where and when).

Now, if there are guides telling players to blame their team I haven't seen them. Please feel free to point me in the right direction if you have a particular guide you have in mind.

Cheers! summoner 4

All these guides are made by people who haven't been in low elo in their life. They contain mountains of useless advice.

The only good REAL guide is by Sir Action Slacks, but it's for Dota 2. (his guide is "My actual Guide for Escaping MMR Hell". League has nothing like that, I suppose maybe we could apply some of the principals of his guide, but League is so much different...

All Escape ELo Hell guides for League are the same nonsense on repeat that have worked for nobody. (Just pick easy champions, be greedy, follow a bunch of basic things like pings and go for objectives that even iron4 does (they wouldn't know since they don't play in low elo...)

Wantt to get out of low elo? Learn to CS. There you go. If you can't break 100 CS in a 20 fucking minute game, please for the love of god go into a custom game and practice CSing for an hour or 2.

Nothing more wasted than a solo laner that can't get around 150 CS at least by 20 minutes. So much wasted gold.

3TWarrior2/2/2019, 3:17:06 AM1 votes

aren't most of the guides to play champions that are strong for taking objectives? Riot even nerfed yorick for having a 60% win rate in bronze only...I believe it dropped to at most 53% in silver and dropped to 50% in higher divisions

In the last 2 seasons stucking in low elo is most likely the best sign that you are a bad player. With this massive that riot packed into the game you don't need any gameknowledge and decision making anymore. Just go and fight like a braindead and you win and climb. Alot of people from my friends climbed to atleast high gold while they were stuck silver for the last 4 years.

Well as an ex low Silver I can confirm that "Don't rely on your team" works and it helped me climb to Gold. I could probably climb even higher, but I lost my interest in this game.

Unemployed Ninja2/2/2019, 5:06:49 PM1 votes

I know why I can't climb. It's because my team is tra- No it's because I am bad at CSing, and I don't ward enough.

Xonra2/2/2019, 7:53:59 PM1 votes

Yeah most of the people I see making these guides are just click bait videos with no real info at all. Like "don't be toxic" "turn off all chat" and crap like that.

And usually it is from some diamond player that has likely only ever been in low elo when they make a new account and purposely tank it to do their "bronze to chalenjour" videos/streams

I don't think getting CS is the magic bullet people seem to think it is

It doesn't matter if you have a billion CS, if the other team has a fed assassin you're dead anyway. It's more important to make an impact on the game early even if your CS is garbage.

Yuuup. Those guides don't consider that even in Silver 1 you can be behind your mid laner in jungle baaarely out of his screen with the enemy on 1hp and your middle on a very consistent basis will ignore it entirely. etc.
