People Are Misunderstanding Area Gold Abundance for "The Game is Based Around the ADC"
Let's get this straight, 4 out of 5 people on the team are usually either in Middle or Bottom Lane because 3 champions are in Middle and Bottom Lane. Therefore, at least 60% of fights early on should happen in that general area of the map, up to 80% if the Jungler doesn't gank Top Lane too much. People assume that interacting with this area of the map and not just your lane = the game being based around the ADC, when, in truth, what this really means is that majority of the game happens NEAR the ADC and people are coordinating more to get the most gold. The game is evolving and people are learning that teamwork is what makes a win in the end. So, when 4 out of 5 people are in the bottom portion of the map, that means that majority of the gold to be gained is in that area of the map, regardless of whether the Bottom Lane Carry is an ADC or not. If this game evolved to support Mages as the most recognized carry role, I can guarantee we would see that the game revolves around Mages on every thread headline. In truth, the most gold to be gained has been assigned to be near the ADC since the beginning of the game. The community designed this meta themselves from the start and Riot has balanced the game around this community designed meta. No, the ADC is not the center of the game.
TL;DR People aren't winning games by focusing Bottom Lane because the ADC is there. People are winning games by focusing Bottom Lane because most of the gold to be gained is in or near the Bottom Lane.
