I think I may have found something about RGMs
Now, some are obviously just for fun, such as ARURF, OFA, Poro King, etc. However, I believe that some of the others may have a deeper purpose. Nexus Siege focuses on pushing and defending turrets. Ascension focuses on team situations and taking objectives. Blood Moon and Overcharge focus on making picks as squishy, high-damage carries. My theory is that Riot is using the RGM as opportunities for training the players in specific areas of a standard League of Legends game. Honestly, if that was intended, I have to applaud Riot for that. That is a legitimately very clever way of doing it.
Another thing I've noticed is that they're all mid-to-late game things. Perhaps there are opportunities for more "training" RGMs. Personally, I'd like to see an RGM that focuses on the job of a jungler, as I did often play jungle before I became a one-trick mid Vel'Koz main. Getting back in the saddle might be a nice change of pace. Also, I'm very curious to hear what you guys think. What aspects of the game would you like to see in an RGM?
