It looks like everyone's complaining about 7.9 and I'm sitting here happy about the changes :o

Since patch 7.9, I feel tankier and more potent playing high resistance bruisers, which were imo considerably buffed by the nerfs to BC and LW. I had fun playing Jax, Nasus, Garen lategame without getting stupidly melted like I didn't have tanky items. I felt once again kinda as a real lategame champion. It felt fucking good. While people feel that GA is overpowered, I don't find it that overwhelming. It's pretty good, but the stats are meh. But I find Gargoyle stoneplate super strong even without the active (especially since %pen nerfed, 80 of both resists in teamfights is so insane) If tanks are dealing less damage because Sunfire nerfed, I find that surprisingly fine. It means the meta will probably open out in competitive and they won't play a CC tank toplane automatically because it's too strong in teamfights and doesn't lose lane easily. Tanks ARE tankier so that's fine. (not quite the unkillable monsters our beloved adc overlords would say but last a bit more which is cool) Overall I'm quite happy. Thx balance team Repertoir and the others, love

Anyone has positive thoughts about this patch?

(still haven't seen any gargoyle stoneplate cho yet, hope maybe gargoyle damage reduc will apply to true damage)

might be coincidence.

according to statistics, all bruisers took a noticable hit with this patch. even darius lost a % winrate. garen is sitting at like 44% or 47% depending on the source and division youre looking at. he actually feels terrible to play.

problem is that most juggernauts at the least are balanced around health scalings and massive health stacking.

the third round of nerfs to almost every single health item, and tradeoff in slightly increased resistances that came with this one didnt benefit them really.

think of champions like Leona and Malphite who have actual resistance scalings in their kits who should benefit most from the changes. what riot did was basically redistribute a massive amount of health on defensive items into a tank core item that lets them double their health for a couple seconds. but at the same time this item is shit for fighters. so overall fighters mostly lost in this tradeoff.

And lets not forget the lag. The latency fix that made the game horrible laggy for 25% of the playerbase.
