It´s Really Shitty that you Have to Dodge to Climb Rank

Just Dodged a Game were my top was a Vayne with TP, had a graves ADC and a Teemo support. The Teemo and Vayne were premades and wanted to kick the graves out of the ADC role (Graves is still a terrible ADC though).

I HAD to dodge, our chances of winning would had been terrible against the Lulu and Kog ADC with Gragas jungle. It is way more optimal for me to lose 3 lp, no MMR loss and waste 3 minutes writing this post rather than 25 stressful minutes playing a crappy game. I won't claim to have a clearcut solution for this, but I find it really annoying and unfair that I have to do this in order to have a better chance at climbing

It's not unfair because everyone has the same chance of getting trollish teams so it evens out. It's annoying, yeah, but not unfair.

Its unfair that in general the people that actually behave with decency are the ones losing IP, whether it evens out in terms of LP gain or not

You don't lose MMR so it actually doesn't matter since LP gains/losses are based on your MMR vs what the expected MMR of your current rank is. So intelligently dodging gives you a huge advantage in the long run. If you had played that game and lost, your LP gains in future wins would be lower, and LP losses in future losses would be higher.

The underlying MMR is actually what matters and dodging has no effect on it.

You should one-trick something OP and dodge if you don't get it.

I wan't a solution that doesn't involve me losing LP and those jerks getting away unpunished. Yes I know what I did was the best possible outcome for the situation I was dealing with but I still consider it unfair

So you gave up the opportunity to report them and have them removed from the community? Seems like a wasted opportunity to me. Could have made the game a better place.

Uhmm I'd rather be climbing up, that is my goal and I'm on a limited schedule before nov 8. I'm actually complaining it was a better decision for me to dodge rather than have the actual assholes be the ones paying for it

Fair enough, I just hate that Riot hasn't done something to allow players to both climb optimally and report trolls.

DeadUnborn1 votes

yeah they should at least give you the option to report even if you lose LP

It's good that dodging is a viable option for when your team is clearly a bunch of boosted animals. I mean what's the actual problem in your example? You got matched with people who were clearly fucking terrible and you should be glad you have an option to deal with it.

They shouldn't have to dodge. it's not their fault those teammates are shitty human beings.

That's why you don't lose MMR for it. It's only a minor inconvenience to lose LP because it has no long term detriment on your climb.

It's the same as checking op.gg to see if your teammates are good at the positions/champs they picked and dodging if they aren't.

I only check if they are good if they pick yasuo or Zed. Usually unless you are high diamond those players suck

I should be able to report them

That is shitty, everyone knows vayne top takes both summoner 7 summoner 14 for the outplays.

Seriously though, yeah it sucks that a lot of games are won or lost in champ select/by matchmaking but as someone else said at least you have the option to dodge
