Repertoir left a path of destruction but its not only his blame. There is a bigger problem.

I check the boards almost daily and every time people complain about the champs he reworked. Some of them have already received minireworks from other Rioters or are up for a VGU.

Rengar: When such a hated champ prior to the rework is receiving so much support from the community for a revert something definitively went completely wrong here Malzahar: a lot has been reverted after 1 year of tweaks, minireworks and nerfs. Skarner : Already stated by Riot he will receive another rework Garen : In need of another rework. There is just no reason to ever pick him and his problems can't be solved with adjusting numbers alone Ryze : Is now a meme Quinn : Hated by his playerbase, hated by toplaners. Failed to deliver on her theme Taric : Lost ability to toplane and as a support he excels at nothing and is therefore never picked. Tell me when did you play a game and thought 'well this could be a good opportunity to pick Taric? KogMaw: got reverted

This means in 2 years a lot of mains have suffered frustrations and more with heir beloved champ. And maybe I am even forgetting some reworks. From what I have seen he is no longer on the champ design team and is working now on items and gameplay aspects. My question is why did this go on for so long? Riot failed as a company. Where was Ghostcrawler? Where was Meddler? Its not like Repertoir once walked into the office and decided to do some reworks. The people above him failed just as much by letting him continue rework after rework. It is easy to shift all the blame to the champ designer when 50% of the problem is the guy hiring him. As the manager that means that if things go very wrong in your department you are responsible. I am fine with Repertoir not being on the champ design team any more, heck no please. But Ghostcrawler and others should be evaluated just as well instead of continuing like nothing happened. The fact and employee spent 2 years ruining champions means there was a huge failure in 'checks and balances, evaluation and internal feedback' and is a sign of clear management issues. Replacing one champ designer with another won't fix these issues in the long run.

TFW people think one person does a champion rework.

Not really relevant to your main point but as a support player I think Taric is ok, but a bit weak given the difficulty of accessing his power.

If the enemy team has melee AD in top and jungle he isn't a bad pick and if they take something like Zed mid or have a melee support that also increases his ability to perform. If I'm on coms with my AD and they are taking a highly mobile AD like Lucian or Ezreal he can also do really well since they can position his stun easily.

He isn't great at the moment and it takes particular circumstances to get him to on-par with the other supports but his problems are numerical not fundamental.

EDIT: Garen also never got a rework. He just got a minor adjustment.
