Veigar's Even Horizon Should Form Gradually Over Time

The problem with Veigars old E was that it was a long range instant aoe stun that was unavoidable against good Veigar players. The problem with the new E is that even good Veigar players can't land it at all.

The fix for this is to have the event horizon pop up gradually in an enclosing animation. Have it begin at the point closest to Veigar instantly or near instantly and over .5 or .75 seconds it gradually encloses around to the end farthest away from Veigar. This would allow Veigar players to punish enemies that are over aggressive or careless while it still being fair to other players. Riot said they felt the stun had little to no counter-play and this would give it counter play while allowing it to remain usable by Veigar players

Why they gave him insane Q range instead of this, I haven't the foggiest...

His Q range isn't even that good. It still puts him in danger of most other laners harass and unlike Veigar they have other abilites to harass with instead of just one. Veigar's Q can also be blocked so harassing with it is already impossible unless the other laner is out of possition.

On an ideal connection, this would be fantastic, but God help anyone with ping issues...

Anyone mid with ping issues is already killed by Leblanc from across the lane before they can even think "Rito Please". At least with this you're safe so long as you don't get very close to him. Also if Veigar intends to hit you with the close end he'll probably have to run at you which should alert you to his intentions anyway.

Leblanc is fine atm, and for Veigar, being a Veigar main, here are my issues:

  1. Not enough damage on Q to justify it being a hard to land skillshot
  2. Make Q easier to hit champions

I agree leblanc is fine but the reason i mentioned her is because she and Veigar had the same 100-0 burst style in game. While Riot removed the one tool that actually gave Veigar the ability to do that they left Leblanc alone. It was also debate-ably easier for leblanc to do that to begin with given her larger variety of combos and mobility while Veigar was completely reliant on the stun which can be countered by qs and reduced duration by tenacity. Veigar is also easier to catch then Leblanc due to him being completely immobile. My issue is Riot had two champs with same core burst style but only chose to remove one from the game and that one happened to be my favorite champ.

Currently, the only thing making Veigar suffer is the fact that they haven't adjusted Dark Matter in any way. A delay reduction to be on par with Swain's W would allow him to use Event Horizon as a cage without needing it to stun to land 35% of his damage.

Dark Matter does too much damage aoe for it to be made a reliable source of poke or damage for team fights. If they make dark matter more reliable they will have to nerf its damage or something. Also if it becomes reliable and they don't nerf it Veigar's will max it first and he may become more of a harass and kill type champion then the passive farmer they evidently want him to be.

Also if they buffed his W to land without his E or even just within his E it might actually be a huge buff. Even better then old veigar because trapping someone in your E is easier then stunning them with it and that would make your combo easier then what it was on old veigar, aside from the nerfed Q anyway

*sees curling veigar*

*double takes at leblanc FEK*

that said she probably is fine IN GENERAL, but for laning she needs some sort of decent actual window where you can fight her even if she doesn't want to be fought, until she gets that she will continue to shit on stuff she counters with no recourse whatsoever - you can't even outskill her if you're not playing a champion that can deal with her ffs - well maybe with a 2-3 tier advantage it would be enough but even then once she gets to a sufficient skill level I'm not sure it would matter.
