Remove Boots of Mobility

90% of the reason these are built is to facilitate zero counter play hard engages on immobile champions, who have largely been in a pretty shitty state for the entirety of the season.

Get rid of these in the pre-season, please.

You sacrifice defense or some actual utility for movement speed that does not work in combat.

The boots are fair.

It would be fair if the game wasn't in a state where everyone kills each other in 2-3 seconds. The lack of movement speed in combat doesn't really matter if combat is only lasting a couple of seconds.

No, it IS fair. You don't build mobis, you build boots that have actual in-combat use. You DO build mobis, you lose out on defenses or utility.

If mobis were all that OP then they'd be much more popular in the pro games, yet most often you'll only see the supports building them. And they do it to get around the map quicker, not cheese hard engage.

The boots that give you MS while you're out of combat, and drop it the moment you're attacked or hit by an ability? Those boots? Now do explain how they're shitting on immobile champions, and then explain who takes them other than supports.

I mean I love the boots and use(d) them outside of support, but they "shit on" immobile champs just for the fact that you can make quicker map movements and catch up to them much easier. I love them on basically any of my playmakers because I can get in much quicker.

Yes, the movespeed goes away, but they're good to position with.

So is literally any speed boost, boots, or mobility spell. These boots are FAR FAR from mobility creep and are such a minor thing when it comes to shitting on immobile champions.

And I agree, just clarifying the why of the OP. I think it's MASSIVELY overstated here, but I can see how they'd be oppressive in some instances.

So an item enhancement should be removed because the other person doesn’t want to learn to use an enhancement (wards) they are givien?

I literally did not argue that point at all. In fact, I argued the opposite, and think the boots are fair. Just stating both ends of a discussion with that comment, friend. :)

Literally any burst champion that needs to get in close range (Annie, Talon, Diana, etc.) will build them against immobile casters in Diamond, but the biggest problem is supports with hard engages building them.

The movement speed allows you to reliably avoid 100% of skill shots until you're in range to engage. You may not experience this because you aren't playing at a high enough level for players to have better reaction times than monkeys.

People outside of support build them in elos outside of diamond. You don't have to become an elitist ass about it, dude.

You know, I almost valued your input until you started putting down people because of rank.

Furthermore, it's not like you, as an immobile character, can build the boots yourself to outrun and reposition so you don't get caught out. You can't sit here and complain about something if you're not taking better efforts to counter your weaknesses against it.

It's not elitism, it's a statement to explain why you don't really understand the issue.

Players at Bronze do not have the reaction speed or skill necessary to use the speed advantage against immobile champions; if they did, they wouldn't be Bronze.

I can play against a Bronze Alistar with Boots of Mobility, and 99% of the time they will just run directly at me and eat a skill shot before they get in range to Headbutt. Now replace the Bronze Alistar with a Diamond player, and their reaction speed will be fast enough to side step anything I throw at them, no matter where I aim it, until they get in range. The faster you're moving, the larger the window for reacting to a skill shot is; with mobas, the window is so large that any decent player can consistently dodge most things.
