Nami Is Becoming More And More Outdated
Nami was released 4 years ago before champions like Braum [
] and Yasuo [
] existed. As a purely 100% ranged champion with all ranged spells Windwalls make Nami completely useless for her team.
With every new champion released Nami becomes more and more crowded out and less viable as an option in the game.
Soraka, Sona, and even Taric provide much better healing and sustain than Nami.
Lulu and Janna both provide better disengage and utility than Nami.
Nami has extremely low damage, she is very squishy, and her only engage is two very difficult to land skill shots. If you compare that to more updated / newer champions it becomes very clear that there's almost no reason to pick Nami.
-- High damage, escape, sustain. Easy to land Stun. Much more useful ultimate.
-- Extremely Tanky, Does decent amounts of damage. Can save allies with 0 skill involved. Capable of stunning, slowing, and re-positioning enemies.
-- Has monstrous damage not even suitable for a support champion, vision giving seeds. Can root and knock-up enemies.
-- Although not a support, I have to include him because he was given basically the same ultimate as Nami in a sense. His very similar nature ultimate means there's little reason to ever need Nami's ultimate.
So what's the deal Riot?
Nami is in desperate need of attention and I really don't understand why she continues to be ignored and only given minor buffs here and there. Nami has all but lost her identity in the game and needs to be fixed starting from the ground up.
