Why is Heimerdinger not played in tournaments? I have never seen it.

tournament noobs don't have the skill to use heimer. they can only use freelo champs

But if he lanes to someone like annie, nidalee who can destroy his turrets he seems pretty much useless

I saw him once in season 3 in some korean tournament. I believe has was knocking down their second top turret at 7 minutes or something crazy.

Honestly I think it's because his turrets die way to fast late game. Turrets armor and magic resist need to scale better imo or needs to have a better health scale.

Riot think's his play-style is boring to watch. So they make his numbers lower than what is expected/wanted for the pro games.
