Which build do you think is better?

  1. Assassin dive build, where I throw in Hourglass, Echo, possible a deathcap if fed, lich bane and the like to focus on diving, killing and and assassinating. Kills quickly but dies quickly, and proc items feel a bit like a waste because it'll only proc once or twice tops.

  2. A bruiser dive build, where I would still build hourglass, but then probably tanky. If fed and I went bruiser, I may throw in Nashor's, because if I'm tanky, I'll say alive long enough to proc it more frequently, which is a huge benefit, because a lot of her items in her build are proc items, and her passive is a proc, too. Not to mention, it'd let you abuse your low CD ult more.

Not sure which is better, leaning towards bruiser but I'm not 100% on what to build for that, either.

Not sure what it is that I really like about her but I'm trying to make it work. In addition to your opinions on her, which items do you usually build (OFC it varies on the game but her core items)? I've been getting Hourglass immediately after Magnus and then it really depends on the game. Lich or another 120 AP item usually.

Don't play it a lot, but from the few times i have i don't think it's awful, she's just a really, really weak ganker pre-6 and by that time most of my teammates have lost their lanes and started spamming 'Gank pls' in the chat. It's not bad, but bear in mind you'll have a limited impact early on which won't do well if your team picks all late-game champions

very strong but her ganks pre-6 are hard (seems only good if you burst flash agains't a pusher). Everytime I did it I did great but I never could win game. Same thing for zyra jungle (seems idiot but once you got blue and level 5 you clear the entire jungle in 1.5 mins....) Zyra Jungle is funny, try it, but if you find a way to gank perfectly teach me how I just cant land the e on the enemy... The only strategy I've found with her was to camp top because we had a singed so we could kill it twice and singed proxy-based all game long :D

Landing E I basically just did one of two things, assuming we're talking pre6. I either:

  1. Lane ganked and went in when my laner CC locked them so that I could get in range before they started to run

  2. I went in from behind to force them to either cross my path before escaping, therefore putting them in range for my E, or they have to cross my ally who will likewise CC them.

Post-6 her ganks are just land Q to force a Flash or kill. She seems to snowball like f--king crazy, but if behind felt pretty bad.

Definitely the first 1, My typical build is this: item 3724 item 3020 item 3285 item 3157 item 3135 item 3089 Sometimes I getitem 3001 first if they have a lot of magic damage, i swap it out for item 3135 later, works wonders for me. Just farm up 6 as fast as possible dont worry about ganks until then unless you are 120% sure you can safely get a kill.

Yeah I've managed to slip a few pre-6 in before, but farming 6 seems the best use of time. Luckily, her post-6 ganks are sexy. You build Echo before Hourglass O.o?

Depends how fed i am, if im really fed yes, if not i even sometimes get a item 3100 for the cheaper build path and extra mana :)

It depends really.

If your team needs better frontline, go bruiser-ish.

If your team has a good frontline, go assassin.

Ofc, but it's good to know which she is better at so I know when to actually pick her. Should I lock her when we want a AP dive bruiser or an AP dive assassin? Trying to decide which is more efficient so I know when is the best time to pick her. Ik she can fill both.

I dunno, I have nearly a good win rate on Diana in and out of ranked this season and my build is pretty much the same core every game.

It's either high damage: item 3716 item 3157 item 3089 Or Tanky: item 3718 item 3027 item 3157

She actualy performs very well with a Devour and a RoA

The Magus builds ARE stronger but against heavy tanks I find that the more hp and higher attack speed does better overall.

**These days though I have simply started going AP shen instead of the tanky diana. ** Shen summoner 11 summoner 12 item 3111 item 3717 item 3116 item 3075 item 3001 item 3083

Just remember you will want energy regen yellows so you are not so terribly reliant on blue buff.
