@Meddler LEVELING PROCESS FROM ONE TO THIRTY

I have major concerns for the level system in this game. I don't think the experience boost you did last year fixed the problems with leveling one to thirty. The following problems still exist:

  • Ques, as of right now, take almost ten to twenty minuets for players to get into a match. I have to play blind pick to get a match at almost fifteen minuets.
  • Matchmaking pairs level 10 and below with high levels. Matchmaking pairs level 30 and below players against level 30 players with full runes and keynote masteries.
  • It takes months to get to max level, especially now that players lose matches more often because of the matchmaking. I have been level 12 for a week now and I cannot get out of it because the EXP is so low . . . and it is because I lose matches. I don't have a problem losing matches but your matchmaking system is pairing me with players that have more mastery points, summoner spells and runes. I am sorry but that is a BIG advantage over players that do not have it.

You need to implement a way to get players to level 30 faster. There is no way of going about it besides doing that. The que times are unbearable and the leveling process is very ridiculous and slow. I mean I can buy EXP boosts and it will not make a difference.

I have to agree. Leveling up an account takes way too long. I even bought XP boosts and it is still taking a ridiculous long time. It shouldn't take more than 100 games played before the player is allowed to play ranked or do other stuff. This isn't a MMORPG like WoW where you have to level up your character to reach end game content. We shouldn't have to spend more than a month with at least 100 games played to reach level 30.

Players already experience smurfs at all levels of play from bronze 5 to below level 30 games so there really is no excuse for this time period.

The more games people have to play to get into ranked, the better. There's like 140 champions. The 200 or whatever matches you have to play to hit 30 does not let you learn 140 champions.

What? You don't need to learn all 140 champions. Everyone usually settles for a small portion of that champion pool anyway. It doesn't make sense at all considering players are already challenged at all levels of play due to smurfing.

The only thing I would consider a requirement for ranked is at least 1 fully filled rune page.

I think you're taking preparation a little too far buddy. When I started rank after my 400 or so normal games played, I didn't know squat shit about who counters who and how to play against whatever champion I was facing. I still placed silver 3 and still proceeded to climb all the way up to Plat II before dropping down to where I am at now in Gold 4. This was over the course of several seasons.

If people want to prep for games that should be their prerogative. Do you think that if people knew how to play against all 140 champions, we would still have bronze players? Or that we would still have people playing ranked and having no idea who counters who? Or people asking about how to beat a certain champion?

You are right about one thing though. It's not possible to learn how to play against all 140 champions in the road to 30, but I would assume after 100 or so games, people would have some understanding of the game and the champions they can pick.

I will say this, when I first started out . . . getting to level 30 did not help me learn how to play the game. What helped me learn how to play the game are other players . . . . like streams . . . . . and friendly players giving me advice . . . . and through trial and error. League of Legends doesn't have a very interactive leveling process that actually teaches you how to play the game. I learned all of my support mechanics from playing games as a support at level 30. I am not really getting the full grasp of support at level 10 with no runes or masteries. I am understanding support when I get to level 30 and have everything at my disposal to learn how to play it.

you tell em!

I agree with this as well. When I was leveling up my account, I didn't really learn anything at all. All I could think about was getting level 30 so I could have full access.

yeah seeing as you spend at least 30% of the leveling process with a duo top lane and no jungler lol.
