How the hell do you play Nidalee?

I can barely get within spear range of enemies before they dash at me and instakill me with true damage

And people say shes OP like what??? I dont get it.

Use the Q W E and R keys to cast spells. Use the right mouse button to attack and move, and the d and f keys to cast summoner spells.

Another useless response. I see people complain shes OP, I see pros using her, yet every time I even try to approach melee mode I get instadestroyed like wtf? How do people survive?

Well you didn't say that in the OP. You said true damage.

Besides, these items are expensive. And we don't even know when you're having trouble playing Nid. If it's during the early game these items don't matter.

If it's mid to late game, then people can help you, but you have to state these things.

I already know that youre a troll but whatever. Armor does nothing because even with item 3157 you only have barely 100 and it gets reduced to near 0.

You have a missing health execute on kitty q. Your human q has over 100% scaling at large range. Your cat w also gets you into range of anyone you trapped. Just find the ganking strategy that works best for you. Also she's kinda weak rn due to the new jungle imho.

Well, nidalee isn't a tank champ, if a full dmg champ just flashes or whatever onto you the most probably think that would happen is that you will be delete, you need to know how and when to engage, you can harass with your Qs and shit, watch some nidalee game-plays, when i started to play her i was really bad but then i played her at a decent lvl, anyways a stopped playing her so i can't recommend you a a build or something

Standard AP items + item 3157 ? Even with hourglass I still get 1 shot thanks to all the armor reduction.

I have those items since the only useful thing I find myself doing is slowing people with traps. Spears never hit anyone, and using cat form is suicide.

that's why you're having a hard time with nidalee. you need to build her with different items. those items are strong on a generic mage, but not for nidalee because nidalee is not a generic mage. she's a hybrid of a fighter and a mage.

you have to build items that grant both forms power and then shapeshift between them during combat. if you're relying on her spear 24/7 for instant kills it's no wonder you cant kill anything.

it's been a while since i've played nidalee, but im confident i can at least get you started.

item 3142 item 3020 item 3046 item 3042 item 3165 item 3100

works against an assassin opponent that can outmaneuver you. you throw spears to keep their hp down and use your tiger ability to run away. if they chase you and you've gotten their hp down far enough you might be able to pounce on them for an instant kill.

Im wondering how do I play her when these champions exist. They all instakill me in melee range so I find myself throwing spears all game and never even using the cat form because its suicide.

They instakill you in melee range because you're building completely wrong. Stop building ap glass cannon. Build bruiser with what I listed before. Your Q still does a good amount of poke damage, and it marks them so you can W in, E, and Q. You don't need a ton of AP to hit like a truck early on. Even if you're trying to go a more assassin build, the builds you're going still aren't right. You want a item 3100 if you're going to do that.

It should also be noted that nidalee isn't really in a great spot right now. Even in high elo where people actually know how to play mechanically difficult champions, she has a terrible winrate.

although you really shouldn't be trying to fight ANY of those champs as nid... honestly... all of those champs counter her..

She was OP because, she had one of the safest, fastest and sustained clears in the game, had ridiculous invade power, the time when there aren't that many wards and the enemy jungler was probably at half health while your topped off at somewhere near max health

Nidalee isn't easy to play, thinking that landing spear= that you must go in is a bad idea, land a spear and jump IF you know you can either force a summ or execute with Q

but just to make thing easy... a normal full build is item 1410 item 3100 item 3157 item 3001 item 3158 and item 3089 / item 3135

The only person on that list that even does true damage is Yi. Just try and predict their movement when you throw spears since they have a much further range then all of those champions.

Nidalee : Spear 1500 range

Talon : 1. Super short dash on Q(range: 550, about as far if not shorter than cougar form W. 2. His E can only be used on terrain.

Jax : If he want's to jump at you he needs to walk straight at you. Range: 700

Zed : Shadow has a range of 700. Though he could use to dodge your spear, it moves out slow enough that you could walk far enough away so that he can't use his ult on you.

LeeSin : Just dodge the Q.

Yasuo : Only thing he can do against you is windwall, which is a long cooldown. And his dash needs minions or other enemy units to even do anything. Just avoid those and he can't get in on you.

Khazix : One of the few you need to be more careful about since he has a cloak and a leap of 900 when evolved.

Hecarim : Can also jump on you with his Ult then E to kill you. Not much to do but flash the ult.

Riven : 4 dashes that can annoying but are all short(Q 260 on all three and E is 325. They have animations that can be easily telegraphed and again, Nid has her own.

MasterYi : ??? All he can do is run. No dash here so he is a bad example.

MonkeyKing : His E is 625 range.

She can screw you without a care.

So out of all of these champions. Only 3 can easily get in on a nid with their dash type abilities and kill her. And only one with true damage. And all the rest, you out range by 2-3x with your spear.
