I've now seen an Akali stomp a couple games in a row.
Uhm, what exactly were you Akali mains complaining about? She's absolutely fine if not overpowered. This is speaking in terms of Diamond+ player quality.

"Couple games" Very good sample size yes you have clearly proven that Akali is strong with your overwhelming evidence
Hey, at least it's a positive view. It holds just as much value as the hate views since the patch came out today.
Can people hold opinions till a week passes?
couple games is all you need with a low skill cap champion
sigh... the amount of stupid in this post is unreal. akali has been gutted, if you lose to akali, then your honestly trash.
lol. ok pal. why don't you go tell that to the Masters level Zed that lost to the Akali. and not by a small margin or due to ganks.

???? what? lmao gtfo
my match history. the Lee Sin game where i went 2/3/2. Akali finished only 2/2/0 but both of those kills were solo kills on my toplane Masters player Zed. who finished 1/3/0 with less CS than that Akali as well. That Akali was lvl 27 mind you so that player didn't even have a full mastery page or rune page mind you regardless of obvious smurfing.
Lol, Akali just did TOO much damage before. She's probably balanced now with her ult being halved.
Her ult is halved at lvl 3 mind you...
Level 6 her ult does 50+ 0.25AP (65 dmg with 60AP)

Having actually played new Akali, she feels even worse pre-6. Borderline unplayable because it just doesn't feel like she can do anything except take poke. Her damage is too low to trade and her last-hitting is pretty atrocious even with the 2nd hit of her passive helping every now and then.
Getting all 3 shots of her R at 6 seems like it could be a dangerous change. If Akali is ever overtuned, or if the player is just really good and gets a lead, it can be just as oppressive as old Akali.
By Level 9 her passive cooldown settles at 4 seconds and finally feels okay to use - it really needs a lot of stats to do anything though. The heal ranges from bad early game, to not noticeable by end of lane phase, to passable in the mid game, and back to useless late game. Her sustain is okay for skirmishing but in team fights Akali basically has no sustain anymore.
Her burst all game is super uneven. It doesn't exist early game and comes in weird chunks mid game. It'll definitely take some practice to actually estimate which trades I can win and which will just get me killed. More often than not it felt like I should just run from enemy champions most of the game.
That said, if you do feed new Akali she will still just straight up kill you. It won't happen at 6 and it won't happen the second she gets Gunblade, but after say Gunblade, Deathcap and Sorc Shoes she was dealing nice chunks of damage.
Still feels pretty bad though. The new W doesn't really do much...ever it seems. It's good if you really, really need to jump into Dragon pit or something, but that's about it. Feels terrible to actually use it since it places you on the edge of the shroud so she tends to walk right out of it easily. The passive felt okay for a bit and the heal at least existed after getting Deathcap, but it's not very reliable sustain and you get maybe 2 small heals off in a team fight so it's almost like having no sustain at all. She doesn't really seem to "burst" so much as "deal small chunks of damage, then auto-attacks a little, then hides in shroud, then tries to re-engage if you're still hanging around". I think just backing off and denying her kills could cripple her since her farming and last-hitting is so terrible in lane and she can't actually kill anything (even a squishy Marksman) in one combo unless fed.
Just a thought: I think that Tiamat could be really good on new Akali, since it resets her auto-attack so she can proc both parts of her passive really quickly kind of like Riven's animation canceling. Akali felt a lot smoother when I test out Tiamat and it helps her awful wave-clear so I can see it being a good buy.
Hey cool.
Akali can still carry.
Guess she wasn't gutted like her mains feared.
Adjustment just needed to be made.
My only wins on the new Akali were vs Bronze players in flex (i am diamond) the moment I played golds and plats they smashed me...
P.S. Any champ is strong if fed and current Akali has no tools to get fed unless the enemy laner is flat out 10 times worse of a player than you.
I looked at your games. Two whole games.
Also consider that people don't play norms that seriously, so your team could have been dicking around and not playing to their fullest potential.
Well, taking a quick look at na.op.gg it looks to be like Akali mains were RIGHT: http://na.op.gg/champion/akali/statistics/mid
Literally the WORST champion in the mid lane right now. 46th out of 46th place in terms of win rate as a mid laner. Yea she is currently sitting at a 39.53% win rate. Totally viable....
Play her top then? 49/54 with a 44% win rate. Yea, not viable there either.
