You should get Mercury Treads to combat magic damage, not for the Tenacity. You get Ninja Tabi's to counter physical damage, but Mercury Treads are only purchased for the Tenacity and little else. I feel like Tenacity needs to be put on a still generic stat item, but not a Boots item.

Let me tell you a story from the olden days, son. Tenacity was on an item - an AD item. That item was called Zephyr. I'll let you take a guess as to why it isn't around anymore.

It gave AD, Attack Speed, and Movement Speed as well if I recall. I'm talking an item that is niche and probably provides duel defenses and then little else. Funnily enough, Zephyr was often bought to replace boots because of it's, what, 7% movespeed?
