its not like vayne wasnt picked all the time when lucian was op. she was just second pick instead of first pick.
just at the end of season 5 she was literally picked in 50% of the games. and they even buffed her from there.
honestly, i dont understand why riot keeps her around. why is an adc allowed to carry like that with the amount of self peel and 1v1 potential she has.
kog maw and twitch have the same lategame potential but they need actual teamcomps built around them for protection. thats a specific downside. vayne and lucian just fit into every teamcomp with their kits. with vayne specifically being able to carry like them.
ezreal is able to kite like vayne and lucian, but doesnt deal as much damage.

vayne has always been a champion whos easy to pick up and stupid effective. literally your only job is not to feed until midgame, where you suddenly powerspike and kill everyone for no reason.

You're wasting a ban on a tier 4 ADC.
This is the pick/ban list from the LCS Summer Split 2016, the one currently going on. It's still running patch 6.10 though. So, the pro players compiled that list. Not anyone.

not really. people already noticed, and shes actually a recommended ban at some ratings.
but you can itemize against her which helps. and shes not quite as self reliant as vayne and needs a bit more protection.
pretty much every game jinx will itemize into crit in some way, which makes 
and 
decent protection against her.

i never said that shes op. go back through my posts.
but vayne has two issues that makes me not want to deal with her. first of all, shes in so many games, that its just anoying. its the same reason why people hate lee sin, even when he was not op but had an overall low winrate. hes just constantly present. she doesnt just show up in some games, but its always either lucian, vayne, sometimes ezreal on bot. with the jinx buff, you see her sometimes too now.
the second is a problem with her kit. she can lose her lane, but she will NEVER not be the most serious threat on the enemy team. even more than other marksmen she always forces your attention, becuse she has so much item independent damage in her kit, that you cant just ignore her. if shes gold starved or not, her w and the 70 ad steroid on her ult are gonna shred you if youre not immediately going after her.
even fiora has to get some decent items before her passive deals damage. vanyes damage just scales with rank on her w, and thats it.
at the same time while youre forced to deal with her, shes incredibly shitty to deal with due to the self peel, and mobility. you cant just get her out of the way quickly or throw some cc into her direction to distract her. marksmen in general cant be ignored, but when most other marksmen are behind with the right items youre at least not forced to deal with them first, but you have room to go for other possible threats on the enemy team before you turn on them.
vayne is shitty to deal with. she needs two items to become a serious threat, and shes very self reliant at the same time. thats why i ban her.
