@Riot - you need a better announcement system, PLEASE!

The amount of games I've had to play tonight with a jungler going, "WTF can't build jungle item".

I don't even blame them -- a tiny icon that we are supposed to check before queueing up is hardly an announcement when game changing items are disabled.

Not even a devourer OP or not thread (personally I hate it), just a comment on how Riot handles announcing things that have a huge impact on a game and can ruin many hours of game play for their players.

I just don't understand how Riot can make millions and not improve upon any of this shit. I've played games in beta who do a better job at giving news to their community for Christ sake.

I disagree... Their announcement system works perfectly fine. If people took a second to look at their client they would see there is a notification, then take another second to see what it is, they would see what is going on. For as long as I can remember that has been used and is widely known to relay issues to players... It's like people going "What are you those crystals on the ground around the maps?" Well, if you read the patch notes...

If you have to rely on people actively checking feeds of information than you've done a poor job informing your community on news about the game, just saying.

Patch notes are one thing, they are in the news feed when logging in and you have to download the patch so you know something has changed. When an item is randomly disabled we should AT LEAST get a pop up warning the first time we queue up for a game since the item has been disabled.

Players shouldn't have to be constantly checking the notification icon for updates between every game to make sure Riot hasn't screwed the pooch again.
