Why remove the healing from Relic Shield?

On one hand, I can't wait for the changes to Relic Shield to automatically execute based on a fixed percentage of the minion's HP (you have no idea how good this is for Rakan and Thresh, even if it's 33%).

On the other hand, there's not much incentive for the ADC or whoever happens to be nearby to not be selfish and just kill the minion, themselves. I didn't like when the healing was nerfed into the ground so it only healed maybe 30 HP per stack at the most, but removing it entirely is even worse, especially during a time when cooperation is at an all time negative. Whatever happened to these items being more than just a glorified Sightstone?

Did they remove all item gold procs after item completion?

Why are they doing this? Seems like they want to bring supports back to the dark ages of no income.

Spellthief's proc damage was removed too

I think it's to make it so that if you have to buy resist/damage with gold so that there's more reward if you win lane as support, it's not free

Deathmatch game.

Good luck, melee supports :|

Because riot wants games to be over faster.

What better way than by killing off any kind of sustain, then when you get forced out of lane your opponent goes up 360 gold, to start the snowball even faster. :D

The only reason adc's don't buy relic at the moment is because they give up pushing power. This is probably a preemptive change to dissuade double relic shield bot lane, which I still think will happen tbh.

I assume it’s for the same reasons they removed the bonus damage on procing item 3303.

I think it’s fine since the items are now extremely self-sufficient power-wise. I can understand why some stats needed to be trimmed somewhere.
