Sounds like people here get more trolls and the like than actual serious Teemo players. Don't get me wrong, he is fairly weak in the current meta, in fact, he's been weak for the past 5 meta's at least, lol. However, he does remain one of the better lane bullies for top lane since he has some of the highest early game damage out of most top laners and is very item agnostic, meaning he can build just about anything and make it work as long as he uses it correctly.
Though I myself have lost lane with him pretty hard from time to time, I don't think that there's really any excusable reason to have that happen. A Teemo should never get completely decimated in lane, even against Renekton. The job of a Teemo player isn't to get kills and dominate his lane (though it's great when it actually happens), instead their job is to keep both the enemy top laner and jungler in the top lane as much as possible so that his team has free rain of the rest of the map. At least, that's how I like to play him anyway. lol
