League Of Legends Is Taking The Wrong Direction

It has been a few months since people have been complaining about and how they are killing build diversity in league of legends for the support role.Now with the tank update they did the exact same thing with tanks: with every single other choice nerfed to the ground.My guess is that the same will happen with the ADCs as well,so im asking for everyones attention to stop this,there was a time in league of legends were diferent champions of the same role followed diferent item paths.All in all,there should be strategic thinking in picking your items and a player should be rewarded for making an appropriate item choice for the game he is in,i fear this new approach from riot moves towards the oversimplification of the game and the lack of strategic thinking.

Worse yet: if you do stray from the standard build path (especially as support) other players will no doubt let you know how they feel about that. I play primarily tank and for the most part I build the same way every time.

I mean... I'm Bronze garbage, but I've been playing for a long time... so yeah...

I think you basically see it in ADCs as is, I see botrk in 90% of my games.

But that's just the game now. Think about how the vast majority of player run what are practically designated summoner spells (supp: flash/exhaust, adc: flash/heal, etc). I run ignite/smite as Jungle and every few games I have to justify my existence in the team chat and usually "gg" is the response I get or someone dodges... because I don't have flash...

And why is this a problem?

Diversity in item builds never existed in the first place. Supports got many new items they simply didn't have before and they turned into their core builds. Beyond two items (sightstone + redemption OR locket) they can still build whatever they want, as it has always been. You are never forced to get both. In some comps you prefer one over the other, but you can get both anyway because you can't go wrong with it.

ADCs never had diversity, unless you consider a few champions rushing a different first item diversity.
