Great, Shen's seeing LCS play again. Guess he'll remain unplayable to most of us.

He's been my favorite champion for years now, I'd just really like to see him in a general better state. His strengths are way too full-team oriented and he's frequently outdamaged by supports.

Riot mentioned buffing him a few patches in to S7, but that probably won't be happening now.

48% winrate is hardly useless.

High playrate means that %winrate will be higher in number. Take for example yasuo that has such a high playrate but his winrate is average between 49-51%. This means that 50% winrate for yasuo is a significant pool of games. What does a bigger sample show? Reliability. Let me give a very straight forward example. If i played 2 matches. I win both of them. My %winrate is 100%. If i played 200 matches and i won 150, my %winrate is 75%. Straight up you can see that the 100% winrate came from a much smaller sample and is therefore obviously not reliable at all as reliability is proportional to playrate in this case. So i say that champs with high playrate and average %winrate are more likely to be better than champs with low playrate but above average %winrate. Then again low playrate doesn't show reliability so you can't for sure say that the high %winrate is true due to the accompanied low playrate.

I do fine with him. If you're expecting to win lane you're playing him wrong. Damage wise Sunfire and Titanic Hydra work.

Shen sees high LCS play because of the TP nerfs mostly. After TP got nuked, Shen rose because he can get his hands on 2 tps instead of one, and having 2 tps over 1 is a huge advantage

If riot decided to nerf the last skill and buff the rest of the kit, I'm pretty certain he would stop popping up in lcs nonstop.
