Plants = Dumbing the game down even harder for new players.

Think about it

Need vision for Dragon? Oh, let's just attack this plant and I get free vision without placing a strategic ward or have to worry about getting pulled over by Blitzcrank.

Need some health because your low? Oh look, two free Soraka heals if you kill this plant.

Need to get rid of a guy killing you in your jungle because you overstayed or made a mistake? Let's kill this plant that goes boom and knocks him away so you are safe.

Why are we tailoring this game for 15 year olds? More people = More money

HOWEVER, the dumbing down of the game, is worse for the existing community, please Riot, re think this absurdity.

I'm a new player, and I can tell you that I am not keen on these changes either. I was just learning the current jungle, and it seems pretty complicated as it is to know how to clear, what to clear, what to smite, when to gank, when to pressure, when to invade, ect.

I guess we'll have to see how it plays out, but the current feel of the jungle is fairly decent, and far more complex than other MOBA's already.

  1. The vision plant gives vision for about 7 seconds. From its placement in the preview video, you're still vulnerable to Blitzcrank grabs, and still need to ward. Seriously, what do you think this is? If anything, it seemed like it was made for ward removals, since it's the closest thing to a replacement to Raptor buffs. You'd have to know the enemy team is taking dragon to use this on them while they're taking dragon. Why do you know they're taking dragon? Because you saw them pass by a ward.

  2. "There's no way to punish someone leaving their lane to heal a tiny amount in the river."

  3. "Mobility dumbs the game down for new players. New players should be restricted to more skill-based champions like immobile juggernauts." Seriously, the exploding fruit is something you can use against enemy players and stop enemy players from using against you in advance.

  4. "Adding additional factors to be abused for optimal play is dumbing the game down. We should make the game more complicated by removing all these unnecessary factors. The removal of smite buffs was a step in the right direction, but we should remove red and blue buffs to keep the jungle skill-intensive."

I don't know how you linked plants to "dumbing the game down" at all. If you want to complain about something, complain about them for the right reasons.

I feel like the bigger problem with the plants is inserting more RNG into the game. I get that they're saying it will be as fair as possible, but adding RNG plants sounds like bad news to me.
