Udyr Bear form's passive.

Udyr's kit is pretty straightforward which is in my opinion is why he's not played a lot in competitive. Sought after champions have versatility to them. like elise, ekko, lee sin, zac, rengar, khazix... can make plays. Udyr is mostly desgined to split push which at LCS levels the enemy team is a lot more adept at handling it.

so i think Udyr would be a lot more useful in team fights if he could re-enter bear form just for its passive stun before it comes back from cooldown.

so you'd:

  • run after target with bear, stun them -enter tiger to hit them, -then enter turtle to brace damage, -then right back into bear without any delay what so ever to stun the next target.

you wont get the speed boost if you reactivate it before the cooldown is back up, but you will be able to be of some use by stunning someone maybe trying to jump your team's carry. reentering cost no mana since your not getting any speed boost. nor would you refresh your passive either.

now this could be limited by charges, like with smite, however I don't think it would be op. people can just try to kite, its mostly for defensive purposes when you are trying to cc enemy undertower/save team mate etc and don't have time to wait 2 seconds. its already gated by the 6 seconds delay to stun them again. and the fact that you have to walk up to them.

this way Udyr can be bit more like nautilus in team fights.

Champions with some level of unpredictability create potential. Udyr is very predictable.

it would also open up build options for him. At the moment udyr needs a lot of cdr to be able to cycle through his spells to have the one he needs up as soon as possible. This would allow him to perhaps build more dmg or tankyness instead and not be useless in team fights if he does not have much cdr in his build.

Udyr isn't that bad in teamfights, the only reason he is not played in competitive play is because it doesn't the fit the style of LCS games. He is fine how he is.

Also Phoenix Stance > Tiger Stance in team fights. Does more damage especially when sated.

I think its worth exploring, beta test it see how it goes. I do think that just this would make him lcs worthy, since especially in the current meta its more and more centered around protecting the adc/apc.

main issue i have though is it would be op against nunu and galio ult. actually should not make a difference vs galio since he taunts you and you can't change forms. as for nunu the sheer slow amount should make it difficult for udyr to reach to stun especially without the movement speed increase.
