My personal opinion on this whole Dynamic Queue System

To start, one quick reminder that I am talking about Dynamic Queue, not the new champion select. Now, I'm a support main that is in platinum 1, so I don't experience the high queue times and overall I've had one maybe two bad experience that could be attributed to dynamic queue itself (one being a very aggressive 3-man group on my team, and the other being me as a solo with a 4-man in my team, and the queue's way to adjust accordingly was to have my team placed against high diamonds, which wasn't fun for me but I moved on long ago).

So personally, I honestly do NOT care about the mechanics of dynamic queue itself, but I do understand where the frustration of these thousands of people are coming from. It's not exactly in the core of DQ, but more the fundamentals of it. See, dynamic queue gets rid of the ability of a player to judge his own personal skill when looking at the rank system, since he could easily be better individually than a player with a much higher rank than him, yet that higher ranked player simply had a team he could win with.

But with that issue, I'll give props to Riot in the regard that they are finally being more straightforward and saying clearly, that there will be no solo queue yet dynamic queue will be attempted to have its problems resolved. However, I don't think any of the ways which Riot talked about fixing dynamic queue will fix the fundamental problem of players wanting a way to truly compare their rank to others on an individual skill basis. And this is definitely something a large (not sure if it's majority but still a big number) amount of players want with the ranked system.

I have a proposal of a way we could satisfy a portion of the playerbase, help fix the problem of teams having distorted advantages, and give a way to compare individual rankings, but WITHOUT removing dyanimic queue OR bringing back solo queue. However, in extreme cases this will increase queue times by a small amount.

The proposal is: implement a divided form of MMR/Rankings within ONE queue. One MMR/Ranking will take adjustments whenever you play alone or with a friend. The other MMR/Ranking will be for when you play with a group of 3 or more.

The two rankings will follow the same guidelines, where you must do a set of 10 games to get an initial ranking, and then it will have the normal ladders, but will be judged by separate games. This will allow people to continue to compare their skill when playing solo/duo to others (keeping duo in this since having a group of 2 doesn't make an unfair advantage in most cases) of the same manner, while allowing others to have their own ladder of equal comparisons for 3-5.

As for how this would be kept in the same queue, here's where it gets kinda tricky. When you are in queue, the game will look for matches by two sorts, one to have players of the same Solo MMR, and players of the same Team MMR, regardless of if you are solo or grouped at the moment, it will use both MMRs if available to find teammates and enemies.

But the core of the idea is to keep the queue allowing players to have as many friends with them as they want, but if they queue with friends, then it will affect a different ranking altogether. In the same game you could have a solo player getting promoted even though he won on a team of 3 people that weren't grouped with him specifically, while another player on the opposing side gets demoted on group ranking even though it wasn't a full group of 5.

An example of this would be one player who's group focused as a group ranking of Diamond 2, but a Solo ranking of Gold 1. Meanwhile his friend has a group ranking of Platinum 1, but a group ranking of Diamond 4. The latter player is lower in group ranking, but higher in solo ranking. They have the ability to compare these, all while playing part of the same queue without the worry of having separate queues creating massive queue times.

I'd love to hear some opinions on this, I feel as though this wouldn't break anything, although it definitely would take an incredibly long time to make and implement since it would remake the MMR system altogether.

For now, it's 3:20 AM where I'm at so gonna sleep, will check back on this in the morning. Later! <3

It's better than nothing and would make the ranking less meaningless. Right now it's extremely ambiguous because you have no idea what queue configuration someone used to climb.
