How hard of a champion is rengar really

Ive been consistently getting fed as rengar and I don't even play him alot. Tried him in normals then accidentally took him in ranked and I won all but 1 game and I won the ranked game. I'm not even good at this game. I'm bronze IV so I'm trash. I did make a cool outplay where I was going to trade 1 for 1 bc I got caught in a 1v5 and I jumped the target who moved to the back of the fight who I chased and flashes out and used an explosive plant. In both ranked games, I won. I got fed both times. The funny thing is I haven't been having good luck with k6 who is easier. I've been consistently getting an early lead. I'll try to invade or if we commit to an early fight, I will try to get first blood or at least a trophy. Then I will get lvl 3 and try to gank then I start roaming lvl 6.its just like Riki and bounty Hunter in DotA once they get lvl 6 although they get invis lvl 3 but want their ults to be more useful when they start roaming. I also utilize the walk out of bush jump if I can. Yes that's a thing. There's still a 0.5-1 second window where you can still jump. How hard is rengar really and if he is that hard, how is it I'm doing consistently good.

If you understand the play style of a champ before you play them that can really help. I'm used to playing tanks/healers so when I play a different tank or healer I usually understand their play style & how to win with them. This applies in your case as well. If you are good at burst champions then it shouldn't take much effort to learn a different burst character because you already know their play style.

Okay you can get away with a lot in normals. Especially considering a lot of Rengar is designed around getting fed, don't pat yourself on the back too hard.

A sample size of, say, 10 games is extremely volatile. You yourself could be a statistical outlier, be it your mmr or your skill level or once again you playing normals.

Mechanically simple champions likewise need more strategic depth. You can see the opposite of this issue in bronze Yasuos. Their dueling ability may be legitimately high Elo level...but their decision making sucks. I'm not calling you stupid, I just mean to say that the skillset you've developed playing league may just happen to line up better on Rengar than Kha'zix.

I recommend three things.

  1. Take Rengar to ranked and put your money where your mouth is (and hopefully get out of bronze) (I mean that in a good way, hope you climb)).
  2. Get good at Kha'zix. Kha'zix scales hard on your ability to capitalize and snowball opportunities, an invaluable skill to becoming a better player.
  3. Stop bragging so much. I want to give you legitimate advice and criticism, I don't want to watch you masturbate over your own plays.

First off your in bronze, so you are playing against people who have no clue how to play against Rengar. That being said. The common joke/meme about Rengar Kha Zix goes like this.

HOW HARD RENGAR IS TO PLAY WHEN NOT FED

How hard it is to play rengar when fed

abit of a exaggeration but it has some truth to it. Rengar when unfed, or behind is a difficult champion to play, he is all about understanding the playstyle and how to abuse his passive. Most the time, ESPECIALLY with old rengar. Unless you landed your stun/slow, you could not get a kill, you had to manage your passive so you could get that empowered E. To a certain extent this is still the case. Rengar was a champion who sucked at Side/river ganks, but was SUPERB in counter ganking and doing lane ganks. He requires a mind set to allow you to get those early kills, because fact is, many junglers are better than rengar in the early game. But once you get fed on him, you basically one shot everything while barely even trying.

So yeah, Rengar is pretty hard when un fed or behind. But once you get a lead, and you know how to play rengar properly, It is completely smooth sailing.

I understand that he's unforgiving. Feast or famine. The game where I lost is where I died on an invade I didn't see anyone and I went and all 3 were there and I died to Ashe. Think of it as hashinshin where he either snowballs and gets fed or feeds and flames. Also he's boosted af. I play a bit more aggressively than other jg's with feast or famine jg's except evw but I will steal camps. If x champion is a tank or not good duelists, I don't invade and only fight if they invade. The way I do lane ganks is I see i go around if they are overextended enough and get in the lane bushes and also the out of bush jump window or of they approach the river bush, I kill them.
