I've been trying for so long to inform allies of when I've built x boots or x components that will give me quite a spike in lane, and I can FINALLY do it. Thank you so much.

You are either blind, not too often on Boards or addicted to confimartion bias then. There was a lot of posts, outright thanking, saying we should focus on good things etc.

You press G for ping and right click it.

You mean that thing dota 2 has had for years and riot have just now put it in? waiting for voice chat for 3 more years. (they put the random function back into the game) I guess all we gotta have now is the phrases dota 2 has. Where in holding down a button and moving the mouse will prompt a text to be said. "/all Good Game, Well Played" for example or "Zeus ult now!" "Tower and then back" etc etc.

Its sad that dota 2 has not only better ping communication (hell the missing even says the lane for your teammates) but also has voice chat. And like 10 permanent modes built into the game, not including the hundred downloadable ones.

It's a different game, and is technically newer than League. I recall getting pinging health and cooldowns fairly recently for LoL. However, you can ping every-fucking-thing in DotA and it's wonderful. You almost don't even need the voice chat unless you're gonna get really specific and need to do it quickly.

Its a shame, riot never really looks at the good thing dota 2 does and try to implement them. For example Dota 2 has people making skins all the time on the steam workshop, but riot doesn't even mention all the custom skins out there.

there are so many features that really annoy me that league doesn't have here are just a few of them:

Doesn't mention fan made skins. (dota 2 has steam workshop league keeps them on the DL)
You can ping everything even the time of the game
you can't read the abilities and numbers of a champion by clicking on them. (when you check your death report it just says that it stuns or slows or something, but it doesn't show the duration. just show me what they see when they hover the ability)
voice chat not being a thing or even considered makes no sense to me at all.
Map "skins" For example dota 2 has several of these setting changes. they get chinese new year, winter, underwater, cliffs/mountains. (for more info on this here's a link to the wiki https://dota2.gamepedia.com/Terrain) Like league has winter maps, and now an arcade one, why not have it so that people can put them on like skins the way dota 2 does it. it really doesn't make much sense to me.

I would really like buffs/debuffs to be pingable.

FOR EXAMPLE. If we could ping how long baron buffs or elder drag buffs have left. That would be amazing.

It's also useful just for general communication of what enemies are doing in certain cases as well. DotA has it, and it's definitely nice to be able to ping that you're affected by Sniper's Assassinate or Necrophos's Heartstopper Aura or something. I've found myself instinctually clicking for it in LoL and being mildly disappointed when it doesn't print to the chat that I'm affected by Rengar's Ult or my Spell shield is up.

Is it I'm only able to ping my own items? What about pinging other teammates' items instead? Such as reminding that absent-minded ADC that he still has 2 unused trinkets in his slot.
