There's no reason for punishing the player's team, because they wanted to try a new champion and went 1-11.
This shit isn't acceptable in solo queue. It's intended to be a game mode for those of us who want to try hard, not a mode where people can fuck over their teams by trying out new things.

If you don't want to rely on random strangers, captain a 5v5 team so you can choose who you play with. There is absolutely nothing you can do to avoid those kinds of problems in solo.

redniwediS1 votesRanked is a game of averages. One game doesn't matter in the slightest. Even ten games doesn't really matter by the end of the season. This is simply how the system was designed, there is no "punishment" involved when you lose a match, which is contrary to what the OP is saying.
