Are mage supports good for btonze

Everything works at bronze. Some just do better than others like how nobody at low elo knows how to deal with yorick or Swain. So what i mean by mage supports are mages like brand, malzahar, zyra, Annie, veigar, lux, and vel'koz. They do alot of damage then you look at the damage and it will say that the support did the most damage. Especially zyra. Late game, they just oneshot everything in sight. also when the tank update drops, i think I'll see alot of brand support and mid because of the %max hp damage on the burn and explosions. So are they good for low elo

Bringing mages down to support is a very douche move, as it is ruining real supports, such as Janna, Nami, Thresh, Leona, etc.

AP Support should not be a thing. You are there to protect your team - not be a trolling douchebag who outdamages their teammates.

Feel free to downvote; I am allowed to state my opinion, as many people harass you for having a different opinion than theirs and troll with downvotes in the Gameplay section.

In bronze you can't rely on your carries because they are bronze. You have to carry from any position and should play champs capable of doing so. That is if you want to climb out of the bronze nightmare.

While I definitely understand, I wish people do not do the mage Support thing, as it pretty much defeats the purpose of the Support role. :)

If you have a good carry or are in higher elos it is important to pick a supp that can empower and enable your adc. So I can see both sides

Putting in the damage for your adc to secure the kills is supporting. Being a support doesn't mean playing defensive, being support means helping your team get kills and objectives. Zone control is a mechanic of the game a lot of people don't consider, and several mage champions have excellent zone control for bot lane, making it easier for your adc to farm while denying a safe area for your enemy adc to farm.

Your presence as an aggressive support is also a form zone control. League is as much of a mind game as well as a technical game, and aggro mages offer that intimidation factor.

Exactly why this guy's argument.ent is invalid. argument is invalid. Besides. Zyra is a mage support and she is mainly played support and usually have the highest damage output. This is also seen in dota where half the supports have shit tons of nukes. Also if your ADC fIls to kill, don't let them get away and get yourself a kill. You just. Buy an eye of watchers and your set for support as a mage. It's not trolling because it helps the team. Also the brand ult and the zyra ults a Can easily will n teamfights. Also you don't take kills unless the carry can't get them or it's after the laning phase. You are also kind of a backup carry. You f shit goes wrong and they fed but you got some items, you basically take their place.

In bronze it doesn't matter what you play. Just play what you are strong with and pray the feeders are on the other team.

Mages are definitely the way to go if you want to support on Malz. If you pick a more traditional support like Janna than your ability to influence the game is based upon your ADC's effectiveness, and if you pick a tank its based upon your teams ability to followup. Basically if you want to be able to carry without having to rely on people pick a mage bot with ignite and snowball while your ADC farms

It doesn't matter which champion you pick, what matters is that you know your strenghts and weaknesses, what you can and can not do and how you can best influence the match in a way that is beneficial for your team.

I can totally imagine how some players pick any mage, because they think that would give them an advantage over anyone else, but then they get rekt by something as trivial as a Soraka or Janna support, because they are still BAD AT PLAYING SUPPORT.

Mages are more straight forward when it comes to using their strengths but that alone doesn't give you a real advantage, it just makes it easier for some less gifted or more simple minded players to fill that roll. But then again this doesn't stop players from failing, better pick a real support champion and really learn the role to begin with.^^
