Why is Fiora allowed to have all these strengths?

Fiora has no major weaknesses in my opinion, her kit is overloaded.

Fiora is a splitpush duelist. Splitpush duelists are supposed to be strong in fighting other champions.. and be able to push down turrets as fast as possible. She has these strengths. She is sticky as hell, can bully you down in lane, can parry everything (even ultimates), has true damage, has a really safe laning phase and has a little AS steroid.

But why the aoe heal and her stupid W spell. Does she really need it? Does a splitpush duelist need these things? It is ridiculous that she can just ult someone who is close to die and still get the heal without triggering the points. I know that the heal now lasts longer for every triggered point but still, its stupid.

What do you think about her kit?

Well think about why she needs all of this.

She is a champion who's purpose is to out duel someone thematically in like an honorable combat, grand duel way, so her kit seems to make sense with the fact that she can parry spells with proper timing, can hit vitals to do extra damage, and is rewarded at the end for winning.

That's just thematically. In practice, however, her kit is designed to jump into team and go for a carry. Unfortunately, she is not tanky in the slightest and really can't build tanky to withstand the immediate obliteration. Old Fiora had her ult which let her restore lots of lost health and avoid being blown up. With that gone, it was replaced with couple other mechanics, that being Parry and her ult's heal. All Parry does is punish people who, on reaction, fire all their spells at the first champions that gets near the carry. Parry can be INCREDIBLY lack luster if the other team just holds their CC for a second.

The point of the heal is to make her ult better. If all her ult did was give 4 vitals, it would be really weak. Her passive does that regardless, just a bit slower. All her ult would be is an accelerated passive. The heal makes it so when she dives into the team and gets the kill, she's not an auto death. She is rewarded for successfully killing an enemy in the turmoil.

However, this became a bit cheesy because Fiora could ult a target about to die, proc one vital, and the whole team would heal up. Riot dealt with this very effectively and now her ult is fair.

People need to understand that Fiora is not an assassin. I repeat: Fiora is a fighter; she is not an assassin (maybe she used to be but that's irrelevant now)

Once you understand this basic concept, her kit starts to make sense. Unlike Garen, Darius, Jarvan, etc. who build tank to survive she plays more like Irelia and Jax who rely on their skills, dashes, jumps, and/or heals to last in a fight and still remain a front liner. And once you understand that she is a front liner fighting other front liners as the Grand Duelist, true damage starts to make sense as well.

Any Marksman that gets caught and killed by Fiora's ult is exactly like getting caught and killed by a Jax - he was VERY VERY out of place and simply begging for honor, discipline and pretty pictures.

Have Riposte at a minimum only block/reflect the first incoming CC, rather than giving her 0.75 seconds of CC invulnerability that also punishes the opposing team for trying to lock her down. But this could go all the way to only blocking the first damage source and then the spell is used up. Gives the other team some counter-play (use it up with a lower-damage, non-cc attack before throwing CC at her), but still allows her to be rewarded when timing the Riposte properly against incoming CC (burden is on Fiora to make the play, as opposed to forcing the enemy team to do nothing for that time).

Also, get rid of the team heal on the ult. It's utter nonsense. Why does a duelist have massive teamfight utility? That just doesn't make sense at all. It's a completely unnecessary point of power in her kit that should have been axed long ago.

She was designed to be a duelist who would be able to be useful even when behind. That's why she has teamfight potential outside of 'do a bunch of damage' and the ability to outplay people with riposte and use that to make up for a gold deficit if used right.

also, fiora is designed to excel at fighting multiple champions at once, which explains her ult...but i do agree that the aoe heal can be somewhat overloaded.

Riven also excels at fighting multiple champions but after she finishes her combo, she is left vulnerable to the counter attacks, while fiora can just heal and shrug it off.

When a champion is a bully that scales into late game, you have a problem.

When a champion does not have a single counter in lane, you have a problem.

When a champion has % max health true damage, you have a problem.

When a champion has multiple forms of healing/defense scaling from offense, you have a problem.

Seriously, the most difficult to balance champions in the game have ALWAYS had attributes from this list.

Vayne? Yasuo? Ryze? Kassadin? Akali? Riven? TAHM KENCH? How many others?

Similar complaints have been made for Ahri.

I don't play Ahri or against her enough to specify. But it's usually due to sustain, burst, and mobility.

Same reason as Riven and Yasuo really. Melee carries that are squishy inheritly need to be loaded in order to function properly. Largely because unlike ADC's they have the disadvantage of being melee and having to be in the thick of the fight.

Other melee carries either have to be extremely farmed or very gimmicky like Tryndamere to do their job.

She needs to atleast trigger 1 vital for it to go off. And recently. her Ult duration is based on the amount of Vitals she hit. so the "Quick ult Low HP person"

Anyway, she's squishy. Her base stats got nerfed (health and armor) so when her W is down she's vulnerable
