why does riot neglect bear? he's quite an old champion

Same could be said for a lot of junglers imo. Volibear seemed to offer good damage with very good durability and infinite sustain combined with a flip for backup.

He excels at going behind the enemy back line with Q & Ghost, flip the squishy carry, AA and then burst him dead with his W. After that, he's pretty much some "standing around" guy with infinite Reksai Q & some negligible slows.

Of course, no one even cares about this when the only champions they know how to play only involves about dashes, crits & %HP.

He deals some quite disgusting mixed damage, he's fairly tanky, he's extremely simple and is almost impossible to fuck up with him.

Sounds like the perfect champion for Low Elo.

Even for higher Elo, he might be a decent pick if his team already has an engager.

He's just overshadowed by the OP Champions or the High Skill ones, which people tend to preffer over simpler champions like Voli.

I'd rather call it simple instead of lacking. He does enough stuff to be a viable pick with his pick potential, stickiness, delayed single target execute, and AoE damage in fights.

If anything, I'd like to see a rework to his E that is an old design at it's finest, but that's it.

But then, I fucking love champions like Nunu and Singed so I might be biased.

I've always felt that he is to Olaf what Former Graves was to Lucian. The one who happens to be stronger at the moment does exactly the same job as the other and invalidade it as a pick.

The problem with league these days, is that most people only play meta champs instead of picking a champ based on their lore/theme/style/playstyle etc etc. The thirst for win is too great lately.

Volibear is quite strong actually, simply not in meta. In fact, he was an often pick before Sota got removed. I doubt he requires special care at the moment.

Volibear is objectively weak after the jungle changes. The poor fucker can't clear for his fucking life, and I remember Rito nerfing his W early game before the jungle changes which just exacerbated his shittiness in clearing even further when the changes came out.

Other than his useless ass passive, I'd agree, volibear mid-late is decent, he's kind of like a more potent olaf with his fling and AOE damage capabilities.

Volibear is just a shitty mundo who does a bit more damage, and mundo is shit already.

Volibear's passive is obsolete as hell outside of early game cheesing with how easy it is to get grievous wounds because morello fucking nomicon is core on every mage and your mother and ADCs have mortal reminder.

He is a -little bit- over 50% winrate in top. And a -little bit- under 50% winrate in jg.

Sounds super balanced to me. People don't complain about what ain't broken. He is solid, surprisingly hard to kill. I think is niche is how hard he snowballs, since he can translate defensive stats into offense, so when snowballing he becomes nigh-unkillable while still being a threat to the backline.

hes such a faceroll tho. hes not bad at all. has decent winrate. hes just based around snowballing and sucks if hes behind or in later stages of game. hes basically a shitter version of hecarim. not by much hes a little tankier
